Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Marketing & Communications, the Tradeshow & Event Marketing Planner/Manager will be responsible for the planning and execution of trade shows and other events, as well as the creation and execution of content and digital marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate is a high performing, goal oriented problem solver who thinks outside the box with proven ability and confidence in leading large tradeshows and events internationally. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Trade Show & Event Management (60%):

  • Manage various head office lead generated events including trade shows, U.S. Sales Conference, MVP Advisory Board Meetings, Town Hall Meetings
  • Prepare trade show/event-specific planning documentation
  • Coordinate trade show/event deliverables and communicate with booth build team to ensure deadlines are met
  • Process show order forms and coordinate production activities with show management and third party vendors
  • Effectively communicate updates, changes, and relevant details to all event stakeholders
  • Coordinate staff travel and hotel accommodations as required
  • Support lead generation goals and distribute lead list to sales team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support seamless integrated marketing plans for each trade show
  • Prepare and oversee shipping and transportation logistics for all event-related materials
  • Maintain inventory of trade show giveaways, printed collateral, and supplies
  • Keep regular inventory of trade show properties and booth display assets
  • Determines budget and tracks of expenses
  • Maintain internal (customer, employee, partner) and external (leads) lists
  • Develop KPI metrics and measurement
  • Co-ordinate post show debrief/analysis and capture key learnings.

 

Content/E-mail Marketing (40%):

  • Plan & create pre and post-event communication campaigns – trade show related email blasts, VIP customer invitations and social media
  • Create content marketing campaigns to drive website traffic, engagement, leads and customer retention
  • Work with product managers & the marketing communications team to create content marketing pieces that capture the attention of target market and ensures consistent communication of the brand, messaging and tone
  • Analyze data to determine efficiency of marketing campaigns and recommend new initiatives as needed
  • Support lead generation goals and distribute lead list to sales team
  • Maintain internal (customer, employee, partner) and external (leads) lists

  

Requirements and Skills: 

  • 3 years of experience in a trade show and event leadership project management role, ideally with experience developing pre and post-show lead nurturing campaigns
  • College/University Degree in Business, preferably in Marketing
  • Can do attitude.
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented and able to successfully coordinate and prioritize multiple, concurrent project demands within established timelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a broad audience (executives, customers, vendors, etc.)
  • Experience working with 3rd-party trade show industry vendors including general exhibit services, promotion companies, audio-visual, telecommunication, electrical/internet services, material handling and show labor.
  • Experience working with Pardot, Salesforce.com and basic knowledge of HTML
  • Experience creating outbound marketing e-mails.
  • Understanding of marketing automation/e-mail marketing campaigns including regulatory requirements, metrics and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams toward a unified tradeshow/event delivery.
