Summary:

Highly successful and poised for continued growth both in the domestic and international market, we are seeking a qualified Service Sales Account Manager with a proven record and a thorough understanding of fire alarm, security and telephone access systems. 

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and resourceful with an aptitude for learning and keeping pace with ever advancing technology.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quote systems and maintenance programs for customers with technical accuracy and within Company pricing guidelines
  • Cold call end users, electrical contractors, consulting engineers, building owners and property management companies to present Mircom’s products and services and solicit new business
  • Manage and develop new and existing customer relationships
  • Focus on sales within an assigned geographic territory and/or assigned customer accounts
  • Stay current in knowledge of life safety product features (including competitor technology), legislation, and regulations
  • Attend trade shows, seminars and meetings that relate to the sales and marketing of the products/services

 

Requirements and Skills: 

  • Minimum 3+ years of technical sales experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (English)
  • Post-secondary education (technical Diploma / Degree)
  • Experience with preparing thorough quotes
  • Knowledge of fire alarm industry and technology
  • Knowledge of Provincial Fire code and building codes would be considered an asset
  • Must possess a car and hold a valid driver’s licence
