Summary:

The Sales Director will act as the “CEO” in their territory, overseeing all sales & other activities involving their region, clients and new prospects. The sucessful candidate will direct a team of independent sales representatives to cover the entire USA, monitoring and measure work results for each, build foundational and lasting relationships with clients based on trust, integrity, and professionalism and skillfully balances loyalty to customers and Mircom. The Sales Director will be viewed as a subject matter expert in the industry while constantly promoting the Mircom brand and its solutions both internally and externally.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet short-term revenue targets while ensuring a pipeline of prospects to meet long-term goals
  • Direct a team of independent sales representatives to cover the entire USA, monitoring, and measure work results for each
  • Drive the distribution channel, selecting and maintaining the best mix of distributors to meet annual goals & objectives
  • Establishes relationships with dealers & integrators to drive business into Distribution
  • Provides day-to-day back-end customer service support to ensure the effective execution of customer objectives, collaborating with Mircom teams as needed
  • Quote new opportunities as needed
  • Perform Ride-Along’s with customers (and their customers)
  • Assist with issues around Orders, Delivery, Returns, Discounts, AR Collections
  • Works collaboratively with internal support teams to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Provide live or virtual or web Demonstrations as needed
  • Update customer data in CRM as needed, tracking progress & conversations
  • Use outside sales manager experience to prospect and develop new business
  • Escalates problems or concerns to the VP of Sales as needed
  • Makes recommendations for continuous improvement based on feedback and trends
  • Monitors competitive offerings (features, pricing, marketing, etc) in your region and provide feedback to Product Management (copy VP of Sales)

Requirements and Skills: 

  • Minimum a completion of secondary high school diploma
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • 3 to 10+ years of related sales experience 
  • Highly customer-focused and action oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems, negotiate and be creative
  • Analytical, detail oriented, organized and accurate
