Summary:                                                                                                                     

 

This is an opportunity to work with a team of professionals in strategy, change and communication, human resources, business analysis, and program management areas. You will provide Team support for the larger projects in the Strategic Initiatives in Supply Chain Excellence. We are seeking a Project Manager to support the operations team across multiple business units and to coordinate program activities across Distribution and Logistics teams. This is a 18  months, end-to-end set-up and implementation program

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze all aspects of corporate logistics to deliver a truly world-class customer experience and determine the most cost-effective and efficient means to deliver that vision
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements for Warehouse and Logistics departments
  • Collect, consolidate and ‘cleanse data’ in preparation for reports, summaries and leadership analysis.
  • Manage risk contingencies for various projects and programs
  • Develop, integrate, document, evaluate and monitor new/revised operating and administrative policies, rules, standards and procedures, and assists with their implementation.
  • Management of general program administration and action items
  • Keep the risk and action items log up to date, and follow-up on action items with project stakeholders
  • Calendar management for the project team: scheduling meetings (attendees and meeting space) in a timely manner
  • Producing and sharing meeting minutes
  • Sharing relevant documentation and reports with project teams
  • Providing information and regular support to the project team
  • Being point of contact for various working groups and coordinate activities with stakeholders at different levels of the organization
  • Developing in-depth understanding of project scope and particulars i.e. timeframes, financials, outcomes
  • Understanding formal escalation and review processes
  • Creating and reviewing reports

 

Requirements and Skills: 

  • Minimum 3 years Project Management experience within the Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics departments
  • Ability to set-up, facilitate and lead service improvement sessions with a range of business stakeholders (incl. Experience of process/value stream mapping) required
  • Record of successful distribution and logistics performance improvement
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
  • Capability of assuming responsibility and exercising independent judgement.
  • Ability to evaluate assignments, determine procedures and implement solutions, schedule work to meet objectives, participate in short- and long term planning.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and interact with staff at various levels of the organization.
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Effective time management skills with the strong ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects.
  • Self-motivated and demonstrate initiative to excel.
  • Availability to travel within Canada and USA
