Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of embedded firmware for our advanced FX-4000 Modular Fire Alarm Control Platform (FACP). Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for FX-4000 modules using Quadros RTOS or similar real-time operating systems.
Integrate and support communication protocols such as ARCNET, BACnet, RS-485, enabling reliable inter-module and external device communication.
Collaborate on the configuration and optimization of FX-4000 HAL, ANC-6000, and other modular hardware components.
Develop and maintain system-level diagnostics, annunciator mapping, and addressable loop integrations.
Debug complex firmware and hardware issues using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
Analyze and optimize system performance, timing determinism, and overall reliability across the FX-4000 architecture.
Work with graphical monitoring tools to validate and verify system integration.
Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to the design of scalable, modular fire alarm solutions.
Mentor junior engineers, conduct design/code reviews, and support robust documentation and knowledge sharing.
Ensure work is performed in compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and company procedures.
 Requirements and Skills:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of embedded firmware development experience, ideally in safety-critical or industrial environments.
Proficiency in C/C++ and experience with real-time operating systems, such as Quadros RTOS, FreeRTOS, VxWorks, QNX, or similar.
Familiarity with toolchains like Visual DSP, GNU C, STCube, and Code Composer.
Strong understanding of the OSI model, especially application and data link layers.
Extensive experience with communication protocols such as ARCNET, BACnet, RS-485, RS-232, SPI, and Ethernet/IP.
Ability to interpret schematics and debug complex hardware/firmware interactions using lab instruments including oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
Comfortable working with modular hardware platforms and addressing embedded integration challenges.
Preferred:

Experience with fire alarm systems (FACP) and/or building automation solutions is highly desired.
Knowledge of FX-4000 architecture or similar fire alarm control panels (FACP).
Familiarity with graphical monitoring tools such as OpenGN.
Understanding of DFT (Design for Testability) concepts and manufacturing test strategies.

Summary:

Summary:

Résumé:
Le ou la Chef d’équipe – entrepôt sera responsable d’organiser l’inventaire, d’analyser les informations liées aux expéditions entrantes et de superviser l’ensemble des activités liées à l’entrepôt. La personne retenue devra également gérer la réception des pièces destinées à l’inspection de la qualité (CQ), fournir la documentation complète pour toutes les expéditions, et veiller à l’entretien préventif de l’ensemble des équipements, instruments et machines.De plus, cette personne jouera un rôle clé dans la gestion de la santé et sécurité au sein de l’entrepôt.Ce poste est permanent, à temps plein, situé à Pointe-Claire, QC  et le ou la titulaire travaillera à notre établissement situé à Pointe-Claire.
Principales responsabilités:

Superviser l’équipe de l’entrepôt de Pointe-Claire (composée de 5 préposés à l’entrepôt) afin de s’assurer que toutes les commandes de vente de produits soient préparées et emballées avec précision et dans les délais.
Maintenir l’inventaire en identifiant, étiquetant et rangeant les matériaux et fournitures en stock.
Consigner l’emplacement de l’inventaire afin d’assurer un suivi précis.
S’assurer que tous les matériaux sont placés aux bons endroits sur les étagères.
Veiller à ce que les étagères de l’entrepôt et les matériaux soient bien rangés.
Consigner toutes les expéditions reçues en enregistrant les unités reçues.
Rapporter tout dommage ou toute anomalie au gestionnaire de l’entrepôt.
Effectuer des inspections complètes de toutes les livraisons entrantes.
S’assurer que l’équipe de l’entrepôt respecte toutes les politiques de l’entreprise, les procédures opérationnelles normalisées ainsi que les consignes de santé et sécurité.
Consigner les expéditions de produits en enregistrant les unités expédiées.
S’assurer que les bordereaux d’expédition sont générés à des fins de facturation.
Créer les étiquettes d’expédition et la documentation pour acheminer les commandes aux bons endroits.
Réceptionner les bons de commande (BC) et les documents de transfert internes.
Assurer la gestion de la sécurité dans l’entrepôt.
Veiller à ce que toutes les consignes de santé et sécurité soient strictement suivies.

Service Coordinator (6 month contract)

Summary: 
Mircom is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Service Coordinator for a six (6) month contract with proven experience in handling all service and construction related activities. The Service Coordinator will report to the Manager and work closely with the service and sales team. With that, from time to time, they will assist with light Warehouse duties as needed. This is a full time, 6 month role based out of our Maple Ridge, BC branch.
Key Responsibilities:

Create purchase orders for various Service department requirements (i.e., vendors, subcontractors, equipment, tech requirements).
Create service call work orders and schedule technicians.
Manage reception duties such as greeting visitors, handling incoming phone calls, office administration support and other time sensitive requests.
Manage inventory and coordination of parts equipment and tooling for upcoming PMA and Construction projects.
Preform parts transfers from various warehouse locations.
Monitor vender assets.
Monitor tech assets and distribution.
Monitor consumable stock levels, and place restock orders as necessary.

Assist with reviewing documents for billing issues, hours, variances etc.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all contract obligations, including expiry dates, extensions, variations, and certificates (e.g., COI, WSIB, business licenses, safety policies, and insurance). Collaborate with HR as needed. Sous la supervision du superviseur de l’entrepôt, le préposé(e) à l’entrepôt sera responsable de l’entreposage, du déplacement, de la réception, de la conservation et de la préparation des matériaux, tout en offrant un service de la plus haute qualité à tous les clients. Summary:
The Fire Alarm Systems Estimator will be responsible for estimating Fire Alarm System material and labour for projects which the Project Management Office (PMO) manage, regionally and/or nationally within Canada; this includes reviewing Consulting Engineers design drawings, Material take-off (either manually and/or using Procore), Bill of Material (BOM) creation, Labour (hours/cost) estimations for system Test and Inspection and Verification, Quote creation in AX. The Estimator will be required to review plans and confer with Sales Managers and Project Managers, if required, to provide a BOM and Quote for a complete and functional Fire Alarm system which meets the project specifications.​ The role is a full time permanent role based out of our office in Capital Federal, Buenos Aries Argentina.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with Sales Managers and Project Managers to have a full understanding of the projects needs and requirements.
Review and understand Consulting Engineer drawings and designs for the Fire Alarm System.
Perform take-offs of design drawings, manually and/or by using Procore software, to provide accurate quantities of materials, and labour hours required for each project.
Employ problem-solving strategies and find solutions to product design issues.
Successfully meet deadlines for project quote submittals.
Ensure proper documentation of all work, organize, and maintain quotes and all supporting documents in a digital file database on the PMO SharePoint site for each project.
Provide assistance to the Project Manager in the interpretation and implementation of specifications and requirements.
Ensure work is performed in compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and compliance procedures.

 Requirements and Skills: 

Post-secondary College Graduate in design or a related electronic Industry field is required.
Minimum 2 years of Life Safety Systems sales or technical experience.
Strong understanding of the Life Safety industry codes and standards.
Proven analytical skills and the ability to identify customer needs and the ability to effectively communicate them required.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Strong presentation, oratory, and written skills.
Demonstrated ability to finish multiple projects on time and scale.
Computer literate, including effective working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, Adobe Products and Dynamics AX ERP.

Summary: 
Under the supervision of the Manager, Planning & Procurement, the Inventory and Costing Specialist is responsible for managing inventory control and product costing across multiple sites, supporting operational and financial decision-making. This role will collect, analyze, and report key data regarding material movements, cost structures, and inventory valuations to ensure process accuracy and compliance. The Inventory and Costing Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory health, drive cost reductions, and ensure timely, reliable reporting. This is a full-time, permanent role based out of our Vaughan, ON facility.
Key Responsibilities:

Own the monitoring and control of raw materials, components, and finished goods inventory across all warehouses and locations.
Track, analyze, and report on aging, excess, and slow-moving inventory; drive actions to reduce obsolete stock.
Maintain and update product cost structures, including Bill of Materials (BOM), labor, machine hours, overhead allocations, and landed costs for imported components.
Perform regular variance analysis between standard and actual costs; identify trends, risks, and root causes.
Collaborate with Production, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure accuracy of material usage, costing, and purchase prices.
Prepare monthly inventory valuation, health, and aging reports with actionable insights for management review.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and pricing strategies with accurate cost data, assisting in annual price book updates and make-or-buy analyses.
Deliver make-or-buy and sourcing analyses with clear financial impacts for process improvement projects.
Utilize ERP systems (MS AX 2012, MS D365 Dynamics or equivalent) for all inventory and costing functions; troubleshoot and recommend process improvements.
Validate BOM and scrap reporting accuracy; drive corrective actions and maintain overhead absorption within budgeted targets.
Participate in audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and industry best practices.
Conduct periodic warehouse and production floor visits to validate inventory and costing data.
Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Manager, Planning & Procurement.
Ensure work is performed in compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and compliance procedures.
Requirements and Skills: 

Completion of a college diploma or university degree in Supply Chain Management, Cost Accounting, Operations Management or a related field.
3–5 years of hands-on experience in inventory management and costing analysis; electronics manufacturing experience is an asset.
APICS CPIM certification or equivalent credentials are considered an advantage.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (MS AX 2012, MS D365 Dynamics or similar).
Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to handling cost and inventory data.
Demonstrated track record of reducing inventory variances and identifying cost savings opportunities.
Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to relay findings and recommendations to all levels of the organization.
Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Ability to audit, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
