Summary:

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Shipping Clerk is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments and receipts of all warehouse products, materials, and supplies.

Responsibilites & Duties:

  • Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
  • Collaborates and communicates with logistics staff, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
  • Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
  • Direct unloading of trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.
  • Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.
  • Create cycle count.
  • Create dispatch (pick up & delivery) schedule for company driver.
  • Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
  • Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.
  • Handles and completes all necessary paperwork.
  • Prepare bills of lading or courier bills as required.
  • Communicates via email with outbound carriers daily, provide schedule for outbound shipments and equipment needs.
  • Using a warehouse management system, systemically open/close shipments and prepare accurate bills of lading for outbound freight.
  • Ensure that drivers depart with appropriate paperwork
  • Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents by strict adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Gather, enter into warehouse management system, and maintain all data and records relative to shipping activities.
  • Assist in resolving any discrepancies.
  • Files all outbound paperwork so that it is easily accessible when needed.
  • Maintains seal log accurately with necessary information.
  • Maintains the load board with accurate information.
  • Complete daily check of forklift
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures
  • Assists in Material Handling duties such as receiving, put-away, picking, packing, or loading.
  • Maintains the load board with accurate information.
  • Should be able to work additional hours when required.
  • Assume other duties as may be assigned

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 6 months logistics, retail, or customer service experience
  • Forklift Certification within 90 days of job entry date (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment (preferred)
