Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for achieving double-digit annual growth and increasing Mircom’s market share in the U.S. This will be accomplished by implementing a comprehensive sales strategy focused on fostering relationships, uncovering new opportunities, and driving sales through immediate, mid-term, and long-term objectives.  Driving sales and opportunities through our distributors and developing demand for distribution. The territory includes the remote USA with a focus on the regional Distributors to support.

The Regional Sales Manager will oversee the South/Central territory. The successful candidate must reside within the indicated territory: North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, Mississippi, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively research and recruit potential new distribution partners to expand Mircom’s reach and market share.
  • Engage with low voltage integrators to promote and drive sales to wholesale distributors.
  • Provide ongoing support to existing distributors to help them achieve sales targets and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Organize and deliver educational sessions such as lunch & learns to promote Mircom products to Architects, Engineers (A&E), and industry influencers, increasing brand awareness and product specification.
  • Work closely with distributors to share leads, foster collaboration, and enhance sales opportunities through joint efforts.
  • Attend and actively participate in trade association meetings, industry events, and trade shows to network and promote Mircom’s presence in the market.
  • Partner with distributors on sales calls to present Mircom solutions to developers, property management companies, and end-users.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships across the market, including within vertical markets such as commercial, multi-residential, healthcare, and education sectors, to drive market expansion.

Requirements and Skills:

  • College Diploma or University Degree preferred.
  • Equivalent industry experience may substitute for formal education, with some college coursework preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in sales or a related field
  • Proven experience in distributor sales, channel development, or low voltage/life safety industry.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
  • Experience conducting product training and technical presentations is an asset.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and networking skills.
