We are looking for a mission-focused and solutions driven IT Senior Manager to join our corporate team and management group. Reporting to the CFO, this senior level position will provide leadership to our IT Team and will be responsible for the technology enabling the business. Following a recent period of major growth and business acquisitions, the company is moving to integrate its businesses processes and practices to become a best practice organization, with a strong I&IT platform and team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of infrastructure solutions, software implementations and leading ERP-related work flow redesigns and refinements with internal teams and functional leads.  The IT Leader will be responsible for providing an IT vision and roadmap while also managing delivery in a secure environment. As a both a technical expert and leader, the ideal candidate will drive operational effectiveness through the use of technology.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage all IT functions, including server and network infrastructure, business systems development and support, information and data management, general IT support services and IT staff management and development
  • Responsible for the selection, acquisition, development, installation, maintenance and support of information technology infrastructure (data center, network management, desktops, security) and information technology applications (business systems) for MIRCOM
  • Day-to-day oversight of information technology infrastructure management and support team to ensure support service level agreements are met.
  • Day-to-day oversight of information technology application delivery and support team to ensure application delivery milestones and support service level agreements are met
  • Maintain a service level model for the IT organization that establishes benchmarks and measures against which the IT organization will perform and be evaluated.
  • Develop and maintain service level agreements and manage to target performance levels for application availability, response time and network performance.
  • With the CFO, support a governance structure that aligns IT application initiatives with business priorities while balancing resource constraints (human and fiscal) to optimize IT investments
  • Manage, in conjunction with other leaders, the project approval and selection process.
  • Coordinate project initiation, prioritization, and information technology resource allocation.
  • Ensure the protection of IT assets and the integrity, security and privacy of information maintained by MIRCOM.
  • Develop and maintain a Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) that supports a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to ensure timely and effective restoration of data and IT services in the event of any disaster or failure.
  • Liaison, collaborate with the Business stream leaders to define application systems direction, roadmap and align, engage infrastructure team accordingly.  
  • Personnel management of team including conducting performance evaluations, coaching as appropriate, ensuring ongoing development and education, and participating in the staffing/recruitment process
  • Directs implementation and execution of new/upgraded information systems via well-defined plans including business case justification, project execution plans with status reporting, technical and functional procedures, business process design / documentation and rigorous technical and user testing of all solutions before promotion to production.
  • Evaluates and implements IT solutions on a business-aligned priority basis – critical technical and functional aspects that drive business value and business reliability/resilience – with the expectation of solution delivery with quality, on-time and on-budget.

Qualification, Requirements and Skills:

  • A minimum 10+ years of relevant experience, with proven Senior IT Management background;
  • Expertise in leading new organizations involving IT staff, financial resources and various systems, processes and protocols to achieve continuous improvement;
  • Expertise and proven skills in liaising with an external IT vendor and leading an IT team;
  • Skills to lead the development of business and operational systems and processes;
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills to resolve complaints and mitigate issues;
  • Excellent time and workload management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Coach, mentor and manage assigned implementation and support teams
  • Act as liaison to business leaders with respect to the governance and prioritization of both IT application and infrastructure initiatives.
  • Excellent understanding of technology infrastructure, including data center operations, networking, security and service desk processes and tools.
  • Excellent understanding of application development environments and techniques and the key operational activities to maintaining enterprise level applications.
  • In depth knowledge of project management methods, techniques and tools.
  • Architecture and implementation experience (cloud-based or major enterprise software).
  • Familiarity with MS Office and MS Dynamics as well as cloud hosted solutions is a must;
  • Strategic leadership experience in promoting and supporting compliance through customer service.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computing Science, Information Systems, or Business; Master’s degree in Computing Science or Information Systems is preferred.
  • A broad understanding of business technologies, standards, applications and solutions relevant to a mid-size corporation
