Bilingual Credit & Collections Representative

Summary:
Mircom is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Credit and Collections Representative to add to the Accounts Receivable team. Reporting to the Credit & Collections Manager, the ideal candidate will accurately perform credit and collections responsibilities while exhibiting excellent communication and customer service skills to both internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform various credit and collection activities including but not limited to analyzing customers’ credit risk, conducting systematic and daily collection follow-ups.
- Work with customers in assigned territories to receive payments.
- Resolve conflicts that may arise between customers and the accounts receivable team to the satisfaction of both Mircom and the customer.
- Facilitate customer payments by providing necessary documentation to customers.
- Effectively communicates and appropriately handles customers (both internal and external) in a professional & courteous manner.
- Work with the Project, Service, Sales and Finance teams to ensure all deductions are accounted for and credits are issued as necessary.
- Identify and reconcile short payments, over payments, and unauthorized deductions.
- Complete administrative collections tasks such as new accounts setup, existing accounts maintenance, credit review, Euler Hermes filing and claims review.
- Ongoing evaluation of customers’ credit limits and risk assessment to determine the amount of credit line and payment terms to extend to customers.
- Monitor and release orders pending assessment of credit limit, purchase amount, and payment history.
- Review customer orders and resolve credit hold issues.
- Process credit card payments.
- Allocate cheque payments and resolve misallocated payments.
- Participate in process improvement projects as assigned.
- Ensures compliance with all company policies.
- Other duties as assigned by Management team.
Requirements and Skills:
- Ability to communicate (verbal and written) in French and English fluently (required)
- 2+ years experience in credit and collections.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of the Denunciation Process.
- Experience in a high-volume environment is preferred.
- Intermediate Computer and MS Office skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work at a fast pace with a high degree of accuracy.
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamic AX is preferred.
