General Machine Operator
(Afternoon shift 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM)

Responsibilites & Duties:
- Provide general support in the metal shop.
- Operate machinery such as brakes & presses, shears, etc.
- Load required tooling into the machine.
- Produce and verify product piece to the drawing specs and identify it as “first off”
- Perform maintenance as per outlined requirements.
- Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures.
- Weld or bolt sections together.
- Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines.
- Stock shelves and move material need it to machine.
- Unload metal when delivered and store it.
- Prepare all metal items for painting.
- Follow Supervisor/Team Lead instructions.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a metal shop environment.
- Previous exposure to welding, punch press and brake press would be preferred.
- Must be able to frequently lift 30lbs and up to 50lbs occasionally.
- Able to work in a noisy shop environment
- Must have steel-toed safety boots
- Able to read blueprints
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Counterbalance forklift certification need it, with minimum 6 months experience
