Summary:

Mircom is looking to hire a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst with experience in business analysis or related academic experience. The successful candidate will work closely with the Production and Product Management team to provide analyses on various Mircom life safety products.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform system inquiries, data mining and product analysis.
  • Handle daily inquiries from customers and internal departments regarding product issues (approvals, variations, pricing, cost, model numbers).
  • Communicate new and current product features to Sales and Professional Services.
  • Produce regular Revenue/Sales Performance Dashboards for the Product Management team.
  • Gather requirements from customers, prospective customers, internal sales and professional services.
  • Assist Product Managers with various elements of Product Lifecycle Management. (Development, Introduction, Growth, Maturity, Decline and End of Life).
  • Define product requirements by researching existing client needs, competitive products, industry trends and utilizing Mircom subject matter expert knowledge.
  • Understand the competitive marketplace and publish tools to help Sales position products.
  • Provide analytical insights to help drive the product development roadmap.
  • May represent Product Management on cross-functional teams for Process improvements and other initiatives such as SKU Simplification, new product launches or cost reduction
  • Participate in analyzing and designing new product features and enhancements.

 

Requirements and Skills:

  • At least one year of experience in business analysis, product analysis in a full time job capacity or demonstrated skillset through academic career
  • Knowledge of relevant building technology products is a strong asset.
  • Electronic or Marketing Diploma is an asset.
  • Very Strong written communication skills.
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and third parties
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Visio).
  • Microsoft Power BI experience an asset
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve a common goal.
  • Ability to write clear, concise reports and documentation.
  • Strong oral communication and presentation skills.
