Summary:
We are seeking an Applications Support Specialist/Trainer with a strong background in Communications and Security Products. The ideal candidate will have expertise in networking, software and hardware troubleshooting, and customer service, alongside exceptional training skills. This role focuses on providing technical support, conducting training sessions, and ensuring the effective use of our communications and security solutions, including sales and estimation support. This role is based out of our Maple Ridge office in BC and the incumbant should reside in the greater Vancouver area.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert-level support for networking, CCTV, intercom, access control, audio systems, and SIP/VoIP technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues efficiently to ensure seamless client operations.
- Develop and deliver training programs for end-users and technical staff on the use of communications and security products.
- Create and maintain training materials, manuals, and documentation to support effective learning.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and support requests, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Offer guidance and solutions to enhance the overall customer experience with our products.
- Assist sales teams by providing technical expertise during the sales process, including product demonstrations and addressing client inquiries.
- Contribute to project estimation by assessing client needs and recommending appropriate solutions.

- Work closely with engineering and technical teams to escalate complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Provide feedback on product performance and recommend enhancements to improve customer experience.
Requirements and Skills:
- College diploma or university degree in a relevant field. A technical background is an asset
- Minimum of 3 years in applications support, training, or a similar role within the communications and security sector.
- Strong knowledge of networking principles and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Solid familiarity with CCTV, intercom, access control, audio systems, SIP/VoIP technologies, and cabling/wiring practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical documentation and training delivery.
- Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to efficiently resolving issues.
- Occasional travel to client sites may be required for training or support.
- Flexibility in hours may be necessary to accommodate client schedules.
