Electronics Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Testing and repairing of electronic devices and assemblies.
  • Perform light soldering operations (surface mount repair, asset).
  • Provide technical support for the production lines.
  • Knowledge on a variety of test equipment such as oscilloscopes and test fixtures, etc.
  • Working in a team environment to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain, set-up and program all SMT equipment.
  • Program, Set-up and operate Fuji Amex III Pick and Place machine
  • Program, Set-up and operate Model: TR75000 SIII 3D Automated Optical Inspection (AOI).
  • Knowledge of electronic component Identification and IPC610 standards.
  • Maintain all Preventive Maintenance logs
  • Recommend and maintain required inventory of spare parts
  • Train operators to perform minimum maintenance and set-up
  • Maintain all hard copy of files and computer programs up to date and back up all programs
  • Advise Supervisor or Lead Hand of any abnormal conditions
  • Keep down time of the machine to a minimum

 Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Post-secondary education in electronics.
  • 2-5 years of practical work experience in the testing and repairing of electronic assemblies.
  • Proven ability to read and understand schematics.
  • Surface Mount soldering skills.
  • Basic MS Suite and computer literacy.
  • Ability to understand both written/ verbal instructions.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a diverse team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
