Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Production, the Inventory Cycle Counter will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining accurate recordkeeping of inventory through the use of Mircom’s internal ERP system.  The Inventory Cycle Counter will count and track inventory while providing assist with assistance with investigating issues with inbound and outbound product.  The ideal candidate is self-motivated and passionate about delivering operational excellence in a fast paced work environment.  This role works closely with the Logistics Manager and Production Managers, offering lots of exposure to learn and absorb new procedures and business practices.  All candidates must have prior experience working in a warehouse environment, counting inventory while using an RF scanner.  Occasionally the successful candidate will also be required to operate a forklift to retrieve and prepare inventory for counting. Attention to detail is a must in order to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs inventory cycle counts on a daily basis, accurately and on time
  • Enter data into ERP system to track inventory quantities issued and transferred between warehouse and production floor
  • Make daily inventory adjustments and record them in the ERP system with input from the Senior Manager of Production
  • Perform regular reconciliation counts to be done regularly in the warehouse
  • Create and maintain reports utilizing Microsoft Office and existing ERP software systems
  • Maintain excellent communications with production management on issues relating to Work In Process (WIP)
  • Investigates vendor and inventory related issues for both inbound and outbound processes
  • Troubleshoot inventory count discrepancies with production floor supervisors and quality control inspectors
  • Prepare and participate in other physical inventory and warehouse tasks/functions

Requirements and Skills: 

  • High School Diploma is required.  Post-Secondary College Graduate or equivalent is a plus
  • 2-3 years experience working in a warehouse environment, counting inventory, performing cycle counts while using a RF scanner is preferred
  • Experience working with electronic components (ie: resistors, diodes, pcb boards) is required
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills is required
  • Ability to learn Microsoft AX (ERP system) is required
  • A Forklift License is required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (English) is required
  • Must be able to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 Ibs
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow all procedures and safety protocols
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills is a plus
