Summary: 
We are seeking a skilled Field Application Specialist to support sales teams, customers, and installers by providing system design solutions, technical guidance, and troubleshooting expertise. This role involves creating engineering designs, resolving complex field issues, and delivering both remote and onsite support for the installation, programming, and operation of Mircom systems. The ideal candidate will be proactive, customer-focused, and able to work extended hours when needed to ensure timely issue resolution.
The Field Applications Specialist will support the following states: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Wisconsin, Illinois, Mississippi, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. The successful candidate must reside within the indicated territory.
Key Responsibilities:


Provide special application designs to sales and customers/installers.

Resolve major field related problems with customers/installers.

Provide over the phone as well as e-mail instructions to field technicians/installers with respect to the operation, installation, troubleshooting and programming of the various Mircom systems.

Provide technical seminars in various cities in the United States to sales, field technicians and distributors.

Simulate any field re-occurring problems in the rack and test lab and document the results for feedback to the engineering department.

Program and assist with password reset on Secutron Fire Alarm Control Panels.
Support old Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACPs), Telephone Access Systems, Emergency Call Systems, “K” Series Intercom Systems & cloud services.

Draw special application wiring/block diagrams for customer/installers.

Resolve level 2 customers issues forwarded by the Technical Support Department.

Requirements and Skills: 

Trade School or College diploma in a relevant technical field is required; a University degree is considered an asset.

Minimum of 3+ years of experience in applications support or a similar role within the communications and security sector.

At least 3+ years of experience in a technical sales environment, preferably in fire alarm or security sales; fire alarm experience is an asset.

Strong technical background with solid knowledge of networking principles and troubleshooting methodologies.

Familiarity with CCTV, intercom, access control, audio systems, SIP/VoIP technologies, and cabling/wiring best practices.

Proven ability to provide special application designs, technical support, and training to customers, sales teams, and installers.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for delivering technical documentation, over-the-phone support, and training seminars.

Demonstrated ability to simulate field issues, diagnose complex problems, and collaborate with engineering teams for resolution.

Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to timely and effective issue resolution.

Must reside and be able to drive in the US.

 Summary:
Under the supervision of the Manager, this position is responsible for the safe, accurate assembly, insertion of electronic components and other related assembly in a timely fashion, with the help of complex machinery. This is a full time night shift, permanent role,  based out of our Head Office in Vaughan, ON.
Key Responsibilities:

Set-up, run and troubleshoot Auto-insertion and SMT machines with minimum down time and minimum supervision
Perform quality inspection with the aid of Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI), Golden Sample or Bills of Material (BOM) and log it on the First Off template of the Manufacturing Order (MO)
Perform safety checks and preventative maintenance as required
Maintain PCB stock accurately, ensuring cleanliness and good organization
Visually inspect all boards after processing on the machines
Manage and track stock accurately by utilizing Integrated Materials Management Software
Work in a safe and organized manner
 Skills and Qualifications: 

Completion of a High School Diploma or Vocational Equivalent
Machine operator certification an asset
Three years’ experience using Auto-insertion and SMT machinery
Ability to read work orders, follow production drawings, sample assemblies, and understand verbal instructions
Experience with current IPC class 2 standard for proper insertion, placement and reflow of components
Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and the tools required in various assembly processes
Knowledge of electronic components and electronic assembly is an asset
Knowledge of set-ups, programming and adjustments an asset
Soldering experience an asset
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Good interpersonal and communication (verbal & written English) skills
Must be detail-oriented, highly accurate and able to meet tight deadlines

Summary:
We are seeking a technically skilled and customer-focused individual to provide support for our fire safety and security product lines. Responsibilities:

 Requirements and Skills:

1–3 years of technical support or field service experience, preferably in the fire safety, security, or building systems industry.
Experience with fire alarm systems, communication products, or security systems is highly desirable.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for electronic and electromechanical systems.
Familiarity with installation practices for fire alarm and security systems.
Working knowledge of fire alarm codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, ULC, CSA) is an asset.

The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing and assembly processes within the facility. They ensure production runs efficiently and meets quality standards while adhering to schedules. Furthermore, the Production Manager will contribute to the success of the Mircom Group of Companies by directing the production team to meet customer needs and achieve standards related to cost, line efficiencies, waste, safety and productivity. Key Responsibilities: 

Leadership & ownership role to develop, implement and improve manufacturing assembly methods within a Lean manufacturing environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspection of solder joints, polarity, and placements of parts.
Repair of post wave solder boards and components.
Manually clipping component leads from electronic boards.
Hand solder components onto circuit boards as required.
Use torque drivers for installing parts onto circuit board for final assembly.
Ensuring proper manufacturing quantities are labeled as per job, including all labels on boards, information on finished goods, and quantities on post wave boxes.
Maintaining a clean workspace at all times.

 Summary:
The successful candidate will inspect fire sprinklers to determine if the system meets the requirements of the job and to ensure all equipment is functioning properly and completes an Inspection report to record the findings.
Key Responsibilities:

Run test and inspect fire sprinkler systems
Coordinate with the local fire department to avoid response to testing.
Repair system if necessary or inform the Service Department of customer needs
Advise customer of test and inspection results
Complete inspection and deficiencies report
Assess material quantities and part numbers for post-inspection repairs
Requires excellent communication skills with your Area Coordinator as requested for inspections completed, rescheduling, etc.
Good written and verbal communication skills required; Good interpersonal skills required
 Requirements and Skills: 

High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years post-high school education preferred
Must have 2 years' experience inspecting installed fire sprinkler systems or alarm systems
NICET I sprinkler systems inspections, Level II desirable
Good written and verbal communication skills required; Good interpersonal skills required
Must demonstrate excellent communication and listening skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent planning and organization skills
Must have valid driver’s license and pass a background check and drug test

Summary:
The Fire Alarm Systems Estimator will be responsible for estimating Fire Alarm System material and labour for projects which the Project Management Office (PMO) manage, regionally and/or nationally within Canada; this includes reviewing Consulting Engineers design drawings, Material take-off (either manually and/or using Procore), Bill of Material (BOM) creation, Labour (hours/cost) estimations for system Test and Inspection and Verification, Quote creation in AX. The Estimator will be required to review plans and confer with Sales Managers and Project Managers, if required, to provide a BOM and Quote for a complete and functional Fire Alarm system which meets the project specifications.​ The role is a full time permanent role based out of our head office in Vaughan ON.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with Sales Managers and Project Managers to have a full understanding of the projects needs and requirements
Review and understand Consulting Engineer drawings and designs for the Fire Alarm System
Perform take-offs of design drawings, manually and/or by using Procore software, to provide accurate quantities of materials, and labour hours required for each project
Employ problem-solving strategies and find solutions to product design issues
Successfully meet deadlines for project quote submittals
Ensure proper documentation of all work, organize, and maintain quotes and all supporting documents in a digital file database on the PMO SharePoint site for each project
Provide assistance to the Project Manager in the interpretation and implementation of specifications and requirements

 Requirements and Skills: 

Post-secondary College Graduate in design or a related electronic Industry field is required
Minimum 2 years of Life Safety Systems sales or technical experience
Strong understanding of the Life Safety industry codes and standards
Proven analytical skills and the ability to identify customer needs and the ability to effectively communicate them required
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Strong presentation, oratory, and written skills
Demonstrated ability to finish multiple projects on time and scale
Computer literate, including effective working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, Adobe Products and Dynamics AX ERP
Ability to follow through and complete overlapping projects
High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts
Excellent organization and project management skills, including the ability to multitask in a fast-paced product development environment
Able to work with minimal supervision

Summary:
We are searching for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate all operations within our raw materials and finished goods warehouses. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy of inventory, streamlining warehouse processes, and supporting seamless production flow. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, proven experience with RF technology, and a forward-thinking approach to driving a paperless warehouse environment. This is a full time permanent role based out of our head office in Vaughan, ON.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the receiving, storage, and dispatching of raw materials and finished products using RF technology.
Implement and maintain efficient warehouse processes to ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines, while transitioning to a paperless environment.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to replenish stock as needed.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean or organized warehouse environment.
Lead and motivate a team of 20 warehouse staff members; providing guidance, training, and support as needed. 
Schedule and assign tasks to warehouse personnel ensuring optimum staffing levels to meet operational requirements.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to encourage continuous improvement.
Foster a positive work culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
Develop and enforce warehouse policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements, including the transition to a paperless environment.
Implement quality control measures to maintain product integrity throughout the storage and handling process.
Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance warehouse efficiency and productivity.
Utilize RF technology and inventory management systems to track and monitor stock levels, conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy.
Coordinate with other departments to forecast and plan inventory levels accordingly in a paperless environment.
Implement strategies to minimize stock shortages, overages, and obsolescence while reducing reliance on paper-based processes.
Requirements & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in warehouse management, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Extensive knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics principles.
Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated experience in managing and developing teams.
Experience with RF technology.
Proficiency in warehouse management software, Microsoft Office Suite and Transportation Management Systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
