Summary:
As an Applications Support Specialist intern, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support to customers, ensuring that Mircom’s fire alarm systems are installed and functioning properly. This This 4-month internship, starting in May and ending in August, involves troubleshooting complex issues both remotely and on-site, assisting with system implementation, programming, and providing ongoing support to resolve customer concerns. Responsibilities:
Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues remotely and on-site, and assist customers with system implementation and programming.
Work directly with customers to resolve issues quickly and effectively, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum system performance.
Collaborate with sales teams on large-scale projects to evaluate customer needs and offer technical expertise.
Assist customers with troubleshooting system errors, performing diagnostics, and providing step-by-step guidance for problem resolution.
Maintain expertise in Mircom products, fire alarm systems, and industry standards while ensuring compliance.
Act as a liaison between field teams, engineering, sales, and product development to streamline communication and execution.
Conduct product training sessions for customers and technicians to improve their understanding of system setup and operation.
Document technical issues, solutions, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
Participate in ongoing technical and industry-related training to stay updated on new developments and best practices in fire alarm technology.
Requirements and Skills:
Post-secondary education, currently in electronics, fire alarm technology, or a related field.
Proficiency in reading engineered drawings, schematics, installation manuals, and specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe products.
Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work directly with customers to resolve technical issues.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Valid driver’s license (G License preferred).

Summary:
The successful candidate will oversee Mircom’s service operations for the Calgary & Edmonton locations. The Service Manager will organize and manage all service activities and performance of the 2 service teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) certification or ASTTBC (Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC) certification in fire alarm
University, College, or Technical Post-Secondary education
Proficiency to review drawings, conduct field surveys, prepare all required information to perform complete installation activities
Strong computer skills and competency in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer/technician requirements
Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly
Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driver's abstract

Summary:

Set-up, run and troubleshoot Auto-insertion and SMT machines with minimum down time and minimum supervision

Define clear goals for all aspects of a product test and develop steps for their proper execution
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for test fixtures, equipment, and procedures.
Ensure all test processes comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Train production and engineering teams on the proper use of test equipment and systems, including troubleshooting and resolving test related issues during the new product introduction phase.
Requirements and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field; advanced training in test software platforms preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on test engineering experience within an electronics manufacturing company.
Proven experience in developing and implementing test systems and processes that conform to UL and CSA requirements, and other Canadian safety standards.
Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance methodologies.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to train and guide test technicians and collaborate effectively across various departments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Project development with solid understanding of protocols, standards, and product specifications to plan and execute test development activities.
Advanced understanding and experience with software engineering, customer experience and product design architecture.
Extensive knowledge and experience working with various operating systems and backend programming.
Professional work experience in analyzing and testing computer hardware and software, with strong technical skills in network protocols and test methodologies.

Summary:

Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to lead and support a small Pick & Pack team, ensuring all orders are accurately pulled, packed, and shipped while maintaining high quality standards. This role involves managing inventory accuracy, overseeing cycle counts, coordinating shipments, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. The candidate will also be responsible for a mix of administrative and hands-on warehouse duties.
Note: Candidates must reside in the Western New York area, as this position is based out of our Niagara Falls, NY warehouse.
Key Responsibilites:
Data entry-receive, track and allocate material into inventory or other warehouse locations
Inspect inbound shipments for damage and/or missing material
Pick, pack, label and verify material for outbound shipments
Answer phone calls, emails and respond in timely manner in regard to shipments, carrier pricing, transfers and sales team
Use online portals for data entry/courier shipping labels/Bill of Ladings (Ups-worldship, Fedex, other LTL carriers.)
Sort incoming RMA’s and work with RMA dept to create invoices/send to Head Office
Communicate discrepancies to appropriate locations, departments
Ensure work environment is clean, empty trash cans, replace trash liner, sweep work areas, and bathrooms, refill soap, paper towels in restrooms
Assist with receiving, packaging and shipping
Perform and oversee cycle count, report on overstock, shortages, damaged or missing goods
Perform timely report claims/damaged or missing material
Oversee time keeping of employees
Report any Health & Safety issues
Operate power-jack/pallet jack/scale/dock plate used in daily movement of stock
Requirements & Skills:
Completion of secondary high school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
5+ years of experience in a supervisory role in any manufacturing or distribution industry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with others.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
Stand for long periods of time.
Some heavy lifting 50-75 pounds
At times must reach, kneel, bend to store or pull items for orders
Reside in the Western NY area
