Summary:
Mircom’s TX3 family of products provide intercom, security, access control, and home automation capabilities for multi-tenant environments. The front end software developer will leverage a myriad of Windows and Web technologies including C#, .Net, WCF, ASP.Net, AngularJS, HTML5, CSS, Javascript & SQL Server to develop software that helps manage our field hardware controllers, providing protection and control to buildings. While working as a software developer on the client side of the solution, there will be opportunities to gain experience with embedded firmware development, hardware design, applications engineering, project management, and R&D lifecycle design in a fast paced environment. This is a full time role based out of head office in Vaughan, ON.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop software that can manage system/site configuration i.e. loading firmware, job specific configuration data, site rules and correlations and real-time site audit, logging, and management.
Work with the product design team to document and implement requirements for front-end layouts, style sheets, services and database.
End to End systems verification testing.
Configure, design and maintain existing application including bug fixes and feature enhancements.
Prioritize work activities and meet delivery schedule.
Code, build and test software.
Attend daily and weekly team meetings to ensure that project goals are met.
Maintenance and enhancement of the configuration management tool, TX3 Configurator.
Develop the ‘web enabled’ feature set to allow for online configuration and monitoring.
On occasion you will be involved in customer support and/or presenting demos to internal teams and new customer prospects.
Ensure work is performed in compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards & compliance procedures.
Requirements and Skills:
Degree in software engineering, electrical engineering, computer science or related field.
Candidates with technical certification or diplomas in related programs with existing application portfolio for demonstration available will be considered.
Experience with C#, .Net, SQL Server Database.
Experience with GUI development using .NET framework 4.7 or above (Winform, WCF).
Experience with HTML5, CSS, Angular, JavaScript, and ASP.NET as asset.
Experience with RESTful web service an asset.
Touch screen GUI programming experience an asset.
Cloud, SAAS, web service programming experience as asset.
VC++/MFC programming experience an asset.
Knowledge of source control such as git, svn, cvs.
Knowledge of Communication and Security Systems i.e. Burglar/Intrusion, Access Control, Intercom, Emergency Management, Smart Home.
Ability to interact with customers using good interpersonal skills.
Ability to create software requirements from customer’s needs.
Experience working on a team, local and remote is a plus.
Previous experience writing software from the beginning to end is an asset.

Exigences et compétences:

Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic Channel Marketing Specialist to lead the growth of our wholesale business across North America. Key Responsibilities:

Summary:
The Fire Alarm Systems Estimator will be responsible for estimating Fire Alarm System material and labour for projects which the Project Management Office (PMO) manage, regionally and/or nationally within Canada; this includes reviewing Consulting Engineers design drawings, Material take-off (either manually and/or using Procore), Bill of Material (BOM) creation, Labour (hours/cost) estimations for system Test and Inspection and Verification, Quote creation in AX. The Estimator will be required to review plans and confer with Sales Managers and Project Managers, if required, to provide a BOM and Quote for a complete and functional Fire Alarm system which meets the project specifications. The role is a full time permanent role based out of our office in Calgary, Alberta.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Sales Managers and Project Managers to have a full understanding of the projects needs and requirements
Review and understand Consulting Engineer drawings and designs for the Fire Alarm System
Perform take-offs of design drawings, manually and/or by using Procore software, to provide accurate quantities of materials, and labour hours required for each project
Employ problem-solving strategies and find solutions to product design issues
Successfully meet deadlines for project quote submittals
Ensure proper documentation of all work, organize, and maintain quotes and all supporting documents in a digital file database on the PMO SharePoint site for each project
Provide assistance to the Project Manager in the interpretation and implementation of specifications and requirements
Ensure work is performed in compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and compliance procedures
Requirements and Skills:
Post-secondary College Graduate in design or a related electronic Industry field is required
Minimum 2 years of Life Safety Systems sales or technical experience
Strong understanding of the Life Safety industry codes and standards

Summary:
Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate will be responsible for the storage, movement, receiving, preserving and staging of materials, while providing the highest quality of service to all customers. The Warehouse Associate will also be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of physical security in the warehouse, reporting of all security-related issues to management and any other warehouse functions that may be assigned. Responsibilities:
Print/Read picking slips from the system.
Follow procedures on RF picking slips or verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
Pick, prepare and move customer orders and related material to checking stage for shipping process.
Use an RF scanner to perform a cycle count daily and report any discrepancies to the Supervisor.
Package shipments securely on pallets, label and provide transportation documents, load trucks.
Receive and store all finished goods from final assembly or delivery carriers in a timely manner using the RF scanner system.
Ensure the accuracy of shipments; confirm the quantity and part number(s) are accurate.
Sort out material by POs and process QC orders.
Receive materials in the system and stamp paperwork with date and signature.
Assist Supervisor with highlighting, collecting, and filing paperwork.
Operate warehouse mobile equipment including forklifts.
Sort pallets and perform inventory checks.
Perform safety checks and preventive maintenance; update logs when machinery is used.
Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times while adhering to all health and safety policies/procedures.
Ensure work is performed in compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and compliance procedures.
Perform any other related duties as required by the Supervisor.
Requirements and Skills:
Completion of a High School Diploma or Vocational Equivalent.
Three years’ of experience as a warehouse associate is an asset.
Forklift Safety Training Certificate required.
Comfortable working in a computer based work environment including Microsoft Office.
Ability to lift up to 75Ibs frequently.

We are seeking a skilled Field Application Specialist to support sales teams, customers, and installers by providing system design solutions, technical guidance, and troubleshooting expertise. This role involves creating engineering designs, resolving complex field issues, and delivering both remote and onsite support for the installation, programming, and operation of Mircom systems. The ideal candidate will be proactive, customer-focused, and able to work extended hours when needed to ensure timely issue resolution.
The Field Applications Specialist will support the following states: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Wisconsin, Illinois, Mississippi, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. The successful candidate must reside within the indicated territory.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide special application designs to sales and customers/installers.
Resolve major field related problems with customers/installers.
Provide over the phone as well as e-mail instructions to field technicians/installers with respect to the operation, installation, troubleshooting and programming of the various Mircom systems.
Provide technical seminars in various cities in the United States to sales, field technicians and distributors.
Simulate any field re-occurring problems in the rack and test lab and document the results for feedback to the engineering department.
Program and assist with password reset on Secutron Fire Alarm Control Panels.
Support old Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACPs), Telephone Access Systems, Emergency Call Systems, “K” Series Intercom Systems & cloud services.
Draw special application wiring/block diagrams for customer/installers.
Resolve level 2 customers issues forwarded by the Technical Support Department.
Requirements and Skills:
Trade School or College diploma in a relevant technical field is required; a University degree is considered an asset.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in applications support or a similar role within the communications and security sector.
At least 3+ years of experience in a technical sales environment, preferably in fire alarm or security sales; fire alarm experience is an asset.
Strong technical background with solid knowledge of networking principles and troubleshooting methodologies.
Familiarity with CCTV, intercom, access control, audio systems, SIP/VoIP technologies, and cabling/wiring best practices.
Proven ability to provide special application designs, technical support, and training to customers, sales teams, and installers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for delivering technical documentation, over-the-phone support, and training seminars.
Demonstrated ability to simulate field issues, diagnose complex problems, and collaborate with engineering teams for resolution.

Nous sommes un fabricant de premier plan spécialisé dans la production et l'assemblage d'équipements de sécurité incendie essentiels. Le directeur de production sera chargé de superviser les processus de fabrication et d'assemblage au sein de l'usine. Il veille à ce que la production se déroule efficacement et réponde aux normes de qualité tout en respectant les calendriers. De plus, le directeur de production contribuera au succès du groupe d'entreprises Mircom en dirigeant l'équipe de production afin de répondre aux besoins des clients et d'atteindre les normes relatives aux coûts, à l'efficacité de la ligne, aux déchets, à la sécurité et à la productivité. Principales responsabilités:
Rôle de leadership et d'appropriation pour développer, mettre en œuvre et améliorer les méthodes d'assemblage dans un environnement de production allégée.

Mircom est à la recherche de techniciens en alarme incendie talentueux et certifiés pour se joindre à son équipe de Montréal (QC). Si vous êtes un technicien en alarme incendie d’expérience avec d’excellentes aptitudes en service à la clientèle, nous avons une opportunité stimulante et enrichissante pour vous.
Principales responsabilités:
Effectuer l’installation, la programmation, la vérification et l’inspection des systèmes d’alarme incendie, avoir accès aux systèmes de contrôle et d’interphone, ainsi qu’aux autres équipements de protection incendie;
Effectuer des inspections et assurer l’entretien des produits de Mircom et d’autres marques;
Remplir et envoyer les rapports d’inspection en temps opportun;
Fournir un soutien technique à la clientèle, au besoin;
Fournir une formation opérationnelle aux utilisateurs;
S’assurer que la clientèle et les utilisateurs ont une expérience de travail positive avec Mircom;
Lire et comprendre les plans d’ingénierie, les caractéristiques techniques, les schémas, les manuels d’installation et les manuels d’entretien.
S'assurer que le travail est effectué conformément aux normes de qualité ISO 9001 et aux procédures de l'entreprise.
Exigenceéts et compences:
Posséder de 3 à 5 anses: d'expérience à titre de technicien ou technicienne au sein de l’industrie d'alarme incendie;
Être titulaire d’un diplôme en électronique ou l’équivalent d’un collège ou d’une université reconnu(e) ou posséder une compétence professionnelle documentée et éprouvée;
Être inscrit(e) auprès de l'Association canadienne d'alarme incendie (ACAI) ou posséder une qualification comparable;
Parler couramment le français et l’anglais;
Connaître les systèmes de Mircom, considéré comme un atout;
Avoir des compétences avec Microsoft Word et Excel, considéré comme un atout;
Avoir la capacité de soulever de l'équipement et des outils jusqu’à 70 lb (31 kg) et de monter sur des échelles et des échafauds;
Posséder un permis de conduire valide (classe G) et un bon dossier de conduite.
