Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing department within an ISO 9001–certified environment. This individual will lead and develop a high-performing team while driving continuous improvement in manufacturing methods, processes, and performance metrics. The role requires close collaboration with Safety, Quality, Manufacturing & Test Engineering, Demand Planning, Procurement, Order Fulfillment, and other Manufacturing departments to ensure operational excellence. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and take ownership of developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing and assembly methods within a Lean Manufacturing environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Order Fulfillment, and other Manufacturing departments) to drive continuous improvement initiatives across all production areas.
Plan, organize, and monitor production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with customer requirements.
Create and maintain work instructions, manufacturing orders, and process documentation to support consistent production execution.
Establish and maintain labour standards, support time studies, and monitor productivity metrics to enhance performance.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by collaborating with Engineering on electronic and mechanical design for final assembly (DFT/DFM considerations).
Apply structured problem-solving methods to resolve production issues and sustain process improvements.
Act as a liaison between engineering, manufacturing engineering, order fulfillment, and corporate headquarters to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.
Lead, coach, and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards, company policies, and health and safety regulations, while promoting a strong culture of safety and quality awareness.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
5+ years of experience in an electronic manufacturing or production leadership role within a Lean Manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge and application of Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, JIT).
Proven experience in process improvement, production planning, and workflow optimization.
Demonstrated ability to support New Product Introduction (NPI), including collaboration with Engineering on DFM/DFT considerations.
Skilled in creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation such as work instructions, process flows, and BOMs.
Experience conducting time studies, setting labor standards, and tracking productivity metrics.
Proficient in root cause analysis and structured problem-solving tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience collaborating across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Order Fulfillment teams.
Demonstrated leadership ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing production teams.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and commitment to maintaining a culture of safety, quality, and compliance.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing software.
Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) is an asset.

Summary:
Mircom is searching for a strong Senior Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in the Greater Toronto Area. As a key member of the Mircom service team, the Senior Fire Alarm Technician will be responsible for performing advanced level inspections, installations, programming, and servicing fire alarm systems, access control systems, intercom systems, and associated Fire Protection equipment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. The Senior Fire Alarm Technician will work with both Mircom and non Mircom systems, providing operational training to end users, interpreting complex technical documents, and ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Additionally, this position includes leadership responsibilities, such as mentoring junior technicians, sharing best practices, and supporting team development.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Rack-up, Programming, Verification and Inspection of fire alarm systems, access control and intercom systems, along with other fire protection equipment.
Perform inspections and service on Mircom and non-Mircom product.
Complete and return inspection reports in a timely manner.
Provide technical support to customers as needed.
Provide operational training to end-users.
Ensure our customers and end-users have a positive experience working with Mircom.
Read and understand engineered drawings, specifications, programs, schematics, installation manuals, and service manuals.
Provide training and guidance to junior technicians.
Ensure work is performed in compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and company procedures.
Requirements and Skills:
5 years or more years of experience as a Service Technician within the Fire Alarm industry.
Electronics diploma or equivalent from accredited college/university or documented and demonstrated trade qualification.
Technicians shall have Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) Registration.
Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 70lbs and climb ladders and scaffolding.
Possess a valid and clean motor vehicle license (G License).
Knowledge of Mircom systems is an asset.
Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel is an asset.

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Project Support Specialist to support sales teams, customers, and installers by providing system design solutions, technical guidance, and troubleshooting expertise. Summary:
Under the supervision of the Manager, this position is responsible for the safe, accurate assembly, insertion of electronic components and other related assembly in a timely fashion, with the help of complex machinery. This is a full time night shift, permanent role, based out of our Head Office in Vaughan, ON.
Key Responsibilities:
Set-up, run and troubleshoot Auto-insertion and SMT machines with minimum down time and minimum supervision
Perform quality inspection with the aid of Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI), Golden Sample or Bills of Material (BOM) and log it on the First Off template of the Manufacturing Order (MO)
Perform safety checks and preventative maintenance as required
Maintain PCB stock accurately, ensuring cleanliness and good organization
Visually inspect all boards after processing on the machines
Manage and track stock accurately by utilizing Integrated Materials Management Software
Work in a safe and organized manner
Ensure work is performed in compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and company procedures
Skills and Qualifications:
Completion of a High School Diploma or Vocational Equivalent
Machine operator certification an asset
Three years’ experience using Auto-insertion and SMT machinery
Ability to read work orders, follow production drawings, sample assemblies, and understand verbal instructions
Experience with current IPC class 2 standard for proper insertion, placement and reflow of components
Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and the tools required in various assembly processes
Knowledge of electronic components and electronic assembly is an asset
Knowledge of set-ups, programming and adjustments an asset
Soldering experience an asset
Ability to work independently as well as in a team

Principales responsabilités :

Exigences et compétences :

Summary:
Under the PCB Supervisor, the Post Wave and Visual Inspection Operator/Assembler will be responsible for visual inspection, hand soldering, cutting leads and working with various hand tools to produce quality circuit boards. This role is a full time role, afternoon shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection of solder joints, polarity, and placements of parts.
Repair of post wave solder boards and components.
Manually clipping component leads from electronic boards.
Hand solder components onto circuit boards as required.
Use torque drivers for installing parts onto circuit board for final assembly.
Ensuring proper manufacturing quantities are labeled as per job, including all labels on boards, information on finished goods, and quantities on post wave boxes.
Maintaining a clean workspace at all times.
All other duties as required.
Ensure work is performed in compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and company procedures.
Requirements and Skills:
Completion of a High School Diploma or Vocational Equivalent.
Must be able to read, write and understand English.

Summary:

Summary:
The Manager, National Project Management is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and consistency of project delivery across all Canadian branch offices. This role provides direct management and mentorship to Project Managers and Project Coordinators, ensuring fire alarm installation projects are executed safely, profitably, on schedule, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. The National Project Manager acts as the link between corporate strategy and field execution, standardizing project management practices, resolving escalated technical and financial issues, and driving continuous improvement across the national project portfolio. Projects include fire alarm installations in commercial, educational, healthcare, and industrial facilities, with high visibility to senior leadership and key external stakeholders. This is a full time role based from our Head Office in Vaughan, ON with occassional travel nationally.
Key Responsibilities:
National Project Oversight & Governance
Provide national oversight of all active projects across branch offices.
Establish and maintain standardized project management processes, tools, and reporting.
Monitor overall project performance including schedules, labour efficiency, material costs, margins, and revenue recognition.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, contracts, and company policies.
Identify systemic risks and proactively implement corrective actions.
People Leadership & Development
Directly manage, coach, and mentor Project Managers and Project Coordinators across Canada.
Set performance expectations, conduct performance reviews, and support career development.
Provide guidance on complex project challenges including technical, contractual, and customer issues.
Support onboarding and training of new project management staff.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement
Analyze national project trends, KPIs, and lessons learned.
Recommend improvements to systems, staffing models, and workflows.
Support annual planning, forecasting, and resource allocation.
Contribute to long-term growth strategies for the projects organization.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership
Work closely with Sales, Service, Engineering/Applications, Finance, and Operations leadership.
Support major client relationships, consultants, contractors, and AHJs as required.
Participate in high-level client meetings, site walkthroughs, and WIP reviews.
Represent the company on committees or industry initiatives related to codes and standards (as required).
Technical & Escalation Support
Act as the escalation point for complex technical, code-related, and design issues.
Support resolution of projects at risk of delay, over-budget, or customer dissatisfaction.
Provide expert input on change orders, scope disputes, and contract interpretations.
Collaborate with Engineering/Applications and Service teams on technical best practices.
Requirements and Skills:
Post-secondary education in Electrical, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical field; equivalent experience will be considered.
Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent is strongly preferred.
Fire alarm certification(s) (e.g., CFAA, or provincial equivalents) are a strong asset.
6-8+ years of progressive project management experience within fire alarm systems, life safety, electrical, or construction environments.
Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-site projects across multiple regions.
Demonstrated success leading, mentoring, and developing Project Managers and Project Coordinators.
Experience overseeing full project lifecycles, including estimating support, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and close-out.
Strong background in managing projects within commercial, healthcare, educational, and/or industrial facilities.
In-depth knowledge of fire alarm systems, installation practices, and commissioning processes.
Strong understanding of applicable Canadian codes and standards (e.g., CAN/ULC, provincial and local AHJ requirements).
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation.
Experience resolving complex technical, operational, and compliance issues.
Proven ability to align field execution with corporate strategy and financial objectives.
Strong people leadership skills, with experience driving consistency and accountability across geographically dispersed teams.
Track record of improving project delivery processes, standardizing best practices, and driving continuous improvement.
Ability to manage escalated client, financial, and performance issues with sound judgment and professionalism.
Strong understanding of project financials, including cost control, forecasting, margin management, and change management.
Experience managing high-value project portfolios with visibility to senior leadership.
Ability to analyze data and KPIs to drive performance and decision-making.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to engage effectively with senior leadership, clients, consultants, authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs), and subcontractors.
Comfortable operating in a high-visibility role with national impact.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel nationally as required.
