Summary:
Mircom is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to drive sales growth and provide technical sales support throughout the Pacific Northwest. This hybrid position combines business development, territory management, and field-level technical expertise. The successful candidate will develop new Mircom ESD/dealer relationships, grow existing accounts, identify and develop project opportunities, and work directly with dealers, engineers, electrical contractors, consultants, and end users to help design and specify Mircom solutions. The individual will serve as both a sales leader and technical resource in the field, helping customers select the appropriate Mircom products and system architecture while supporting opportunities from initial concept through specification, quotation, and project award.
The Pacific North West Business Development Manager/Field Sales Engineer will oversee the following state(s): Kansas, Nebraska, S. Dakota, N. Dakota, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.
Key Responsibilities:

Achieve or exceed territory revenue, customer, and market share targets through new business development (events, trade shows, referrals, networking, and face-to-face sales calls) 
Collaborate with internal teams on sales and conversion strategies.
Build and maintain strong customer and channel relationships by profiling and supporting dealers/ESDs, recommending service actions.
Conduct follow-up and ongoing outreach, and educating customers, engineers, consultants, contractors, and end users on Mircom solutions and industry trends.
Provide pre-sales technical leadership by assisting with product selection, system architecture, applications, and solution design; reviewing plans, specifications, device counts, and riser concepts.
Supply technical input for quotations and value engineering; addressing technical questions; and acting as the technical bridge between customers and internal teams.
Promote Mircom products and brand by delivering product demos, technical presentations, and Lunch & Learn sessions.
participate in industry events, trade shows, and association activities; and supporting the introduction and field adoption of new products and technologies.
Support channel development and training by helping dealers understand Mircom’s portfolio and target markets, and supporting training on technology, products, sales skills, project registration, and related topics.
Drive market and product feedback by gathering market intelligence, identifying opportunities in key growth verticals, and providing structured field feedback to Product Management, Engineering, and Sales leadership on customer needs, competitors, product enhancements, and emerging trends.
Maintain professional and regulatory expertise by staying current with applicable fire alarm and life safety codes, standards, and industry requirements within the territory. 
Requirements and Skills: 

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field; equivalent education and industry experience will be considered.
3+ years in technical sales, business development, or sales engineering, ideally in fire alarm, life safety, building systems, or related low-voltage markets is an asset.
Solid knowledge of fire alarm and life safety systems; familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, building and fire codes) is an asset.
Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing territory revenue, market share, and customer base.
Demonstrated ability to turn technical requirements into practical solutions, including system design, product selection, and value engineering.
Experience working with channel partners (dealers, distributors, ESDs) and supporting a territory-based partner network.
Strong relationship-building, account management, and communication skills, with experience engaging engineers, consultants, contractors, and end users.
Confident presenter, able to deliver product demos, technical presentations, and training sessions.
Highly organized, self-motivated, strong ability to manage multiple projects and opportunities simultaneously.
Proficiency with CRM tools and MS Office (or equivalent) for pipeline management, forecasting, and proposals.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong knowledge of PC based applications (Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint & Excel)
Willingness to travel regularly within the territory for customer visits and events
Valid driver’s license required.
Must reside within the territory mentioned for the role.
Hold a NICET certification is a bonus.

Summary:
The General Machine Operator is responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining sheet metal fabrication equipment to produce high‑quality components according to engineering drawings and production requirements. This role supports manufacturing by ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient operation of machines used to cut, bend, form, and assemble sheet metal parts. This is a full-time role based out of our facility in Vaughan, ON.

Responsibilities:

Provide general support in the metal shop.
Operate machinery such as brakes & presses, spot welding and stand off insertion machines.
Load required tooling into the machine.
Produce and verify product piece to the drawing specs and identify it as “first off”
Perform maintenance as per outlined requirements.
Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures.
Spot weld metal machine parts together.
Set up and operate heavy-duty sheet metal working machines.
Stock shelves and move materials to different machines using a forklift as required.
Unload sheet metal skids when delivered and store it accordingly.
Prepare all metal items for painting.
Follow Supervisor/Team Lead instructions.

 Requirements and Skills: 

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous 1 to 3 years experience in a metal shop environment.
Previous experience to spot welding, punch press and brake press, stand off and PEM inserter would be preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and good understanding of fabrication processes.
Able to read and interpret blueprints.
Must be able to frequently lift 30lbs and up to 50lbs occasionally.
Able to work in a noisy shop environment.
Counterbalance forklift certification required, with minimum 6 months experience.
Must have steel-toed safety boots.

We are searching for an experienced Service Manager to lead our Fire Alarm Technicians and all their service activities. He/she will organize and manage all service activities and performance of the service team. Summary:
We are seeking a Fire Alarm Systems Estimator & Designer who will be responsible for preparing complete and accurate quotations to be presented to clients, either directly or through the assigned salesperson. This role includes analyzing projects to identify and propose cost-saving opportunities through optimized design and product solutions. The candidate we are searching for will also perform occasional design work, including developing and assembling project riser diagrams, comprehensive shop drawing packages, and associated technical data sheets to support bids and project execution. Responsibilities:

Produce material and labour take-offs through drawings to develop accurate quotations.
Provide project design packages, riser diagrams, shop drawings, data sheets, battery calculations.
Review and understand job specifications and drawings.
Follow through with estimating process to develop competitive bids.
Communicate with clients to gather information, clarify specifications, wording, etc.
Converse with Sales People to coordinate the closing of the bid review.
Occasional site/tender walk-throughs to cross refence drawings to avoid site interferences and identify proactive solutions.
Coordinate with sub-contractors and suppliers to obtain pricing to include within the final quotation provided to client.
Attend scheduled Sales Manager meetings to discuss product, codes and issues.
Coordinate with the project management team to create process and guidelines to help with growing of the new department
Attend and contribute to product training seminars and monthly sales meetings.

 Requirements and Skills:

Diploma or degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in estimating, design, or drafting within construction, fire protection, electrical, or related industry.
Experience specifically in fire alarm, life safety, security, or low‑voltage systems is an asset.
Knowledge of NFPA, local building/fire codes, and applicable standards.
Experience working in a growing department or helping establish processes and best practices.
Experience preparing quotations and bid submissions for commercial/industrial projects.

Responsibilities:

Billing & Documentation:

Review and resolve billing discrepancies across work orders and purchase orders.

Respond to inquiries from customers, sales, and supplier accounts.

Requirements and Skills:

Experience in a related industry (construction, fire & life safety, security, etc.) is a strong asset.
Minimum of 3 years and more of experience in office administration.
Experience in the industry would be considered an asset.
Post-secondary education required (diploma or technical certificate).
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, etc.).

Summary:
We are seeking a Fire Alarm Systems Estimator & Designer who will be responsible for preparing complete and accurate quotations to be presented to clients, either directly or through the assigned salesperson. Responsibilities:

Produce material and labour take-offs through drawings to develop accurate quotations.
Provide project design packages, riser diagrams, shop drawings, data sheets, battery calculations.
Review and understand job specifications and drawings.
Follow through with estimating process to develop competitive bids.
Communicate with clients to gather information, clarify specifications, wording, etc.
Converse with Sales People to coordinate the closing of the bid review.
Occasional site/tender walk-throughs to cross refence drawings to avoid site interferences and identify proactive solutions.
Coordinate with sub-contractors and suppliers to obtain pricing to include within the final quotation provided to client.
Attend scheduled Sales Manager meetings to discuss product, codes and issues.

Summary:
Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate will be responsible for the storage, movement, receiving, preserving and staging of materials, while providing the highest quality of service to all customers. The Warehouse Associate will also be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of physical security in the warehouse, reporting of all security-related issues to management and any other warehouse functions that may be assigned. This is a full time permanent role based out of our Vaughan, ON facility.

Responsibilities:

Print/Read picking slips from the system.
Follow procedures on RF picking slips or verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
Pick, prepare and move customer orders and related material to checking stage for shipping process.
Use an RF scanner to perform a cycle count daily and report any discrepancies to the Supervisor.
Package shipments securely on pallets, label and provide transportation documents, load trucks.
Receive and store all finished goods from final assembly or delivery carriers in a timely manner using the RF scanner system.
Ensure the accuracy of shipments; confirm the quantity and part number(s) are accurate.
Sort out material by POs and process QC orders.
Receive materials in the system and stamp paperwork with date and signature.
Assist Supervisor with highlighting, collecting, and filing paperwork.
Operate warehouse mobile equipment including forklifts.
Sort pallets and perform inventory checks.
Perform safety checks and preventive maintenance; update logs when machinery is used.
Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times while adhering to all health and safety policies/procedures.
Ensure work is performed in compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and company procedures.
Perform any other related duties as required by the Supervisor.

 Requirements and Skills: 

Completion of a High School Diploma or Vocational Equivalent
Three years’ of experience as a warehouse associate is an asset.
Forklift Safety Training Certificate required.
Comfortable working in a computer based work environment including Microsoft Office.
Ability to lift up to 75Ibs frequently.
Work requires walking, sitting, standing, bending/crouching, reaching, climbing ladders.
Able to be detail oriented following precise instructions when processing orders.
Knowledgeable of all shipping/receiving procedures applicable in Canada, USA and Internationally.
Experience using RF scanners preferred.
Must be able to read, understand and follow instructions/picking slips.
Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written English) skills.
Familiar with touch screen data entering and scanning.
Familiarity with ISO standards is an asset.
Forklift experience an asset.
