Summary:
Mircom is searching for talented and certified Fire Alarm Technicians to join our teams in Maple Ridge(BC), Edmonton(AB), Calgary(AB), Vaughan(ON), Ottawa(ON) and Montreal(QC). Key Responsibilities:
Perform Rack-up, Programming, Verification and Inspection of fire alarm systems, access control and intercom systems, along with other fire protection equipment
Perform inspections and service on Mircom and non-Mircom product
Complete and return inspection reports in a timely manner
Provide technical support to customers as needed
Provide operational training to end-users
Ensure our customers and end-users have a positive experience working with Mircom
Read and understand engineered drawings, specifications, programs, schematics, installation manuals, and service manuals
Requirements and Skills:
Technicians shall have 3-5 years of experience within the Fire Alarm industry
Electronics diploma or equivalent from accredited college/university or documented and demonstrated trade qualification
Technicians shall have Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) Registration or comparable qualification
Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing
Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 70lbs and climb ladders and scaffolding
Possess a valid and clean motor vehicle license (G License)
Knowledge of Mircom systems is an asset
Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel is an asset

Able to read and comprehend blueprints, specification and project schedules
Coordination and installation of overhead sprinkler systems, including steel and CPVC and steel piping, fire pumps, standpipes, hose systems, underground pipe including private service fire mains, hydrants, pits and underground control valves
Responsible for participating and attending weekly job site safety meetings
Accountable for ordering material, managing deliveries/backorders, ensuring changes in scope/discrepancies are resolved, monitor labor costs, responsible for tools, and coordinating equipment rental
Willing to travel to local job site locations
Be physically fit to perform the demanding work of the trade including maximum occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent lifting up to 25 pounds. Standing and walking for the majority of the workday.
Requirements and Skills:
Technicians shall have 3-5 years of experience as a Service or Installation Technician within the Fire Sprinkler industry
NICET I / II certification or accumulated equivalent experience
Osha certification, apprentice certifications or other trade qualification would be an asset
Strong knowledge of industry codes (NFPA)
Excellent planning and organization skills
Must have valid driver’s license and pass a background check and drug test
Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing

Summary:
The Mircom Group of Companies is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst for Fire, Communication, Automation and related smart building products. The successful candidate will be responsible for verification and stability testing of our products, and additionally will have to perform pre-certification testing for regulatory bodies such as U.L., U.L.C, FM, and CSFM.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop test strategies and procedures for design verification of networked fire alarm control panels and system configuration tools.
Develop documentation of test procedures and regression test plans.
Perform features, functions, stability, and regression testing of products.
Design, implement, and manage own lab test networks.
Coordinate testing activities with the rest of the QA test group as well as with the Product Developers.
Assist in reproducing customers’ issues in the QA lab.
Provide feedback to developers to improve the usability of the products.
Requirements and Skills:
Mininum 2+ years of QA test experience. (or related experience).
Strong working knowledge of wired and wireless networking protocols.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and networking equipment setup and operation.
Working knowledge of cloud based software.
Ability to use network protocol analyzers for troubleshooting and analysis of networking and communications issues.
Strong written and oral communication skills.

Summary:

Summary:
The successful candidate will oversee Mircom’s service operations for the Calgary & Edmonton locations. The Service Manager will organize and manage all service activities and performance of the 2 service teams.

University, College, or Technical Post-Secondary education

Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly

Responsabilités principales:

Exigences et Compétences:
Capacité à travailler du lundi au vendredi dans un bureau situé à Pointe Claire, de 9h30 à 18h00, avec des heures supplémentaires occasionnelles et des jours fériés.
Plus de 2 ans d'expérience dans le domaine du service à la clientèle ou du service d'assistance.
Formation postsecondaire de préférence.
Maîtrise du français et de l'anglais

Six Sigma (Black/Green Belt) and Lean Manufacturing experience highly desirable.

Summary:
Under the general direction of the Production Manager, the PCBA Supervisor will lead and oversee all elements of production in the PCBA department. The PCBA Production Supervisor will be accountable and responsible for managing departmental safety including policies and procedures. The successful candidate will oversee environmental controls, plant production including quality control, development of production employees, protection of equipment and departmental cost control.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct oversight, training and guidance to PCB Machine Operators, Assemblers, Wave and Post wave operators to ensure processes and work instructions are being adhered to.
Coordinate the activities of employees to ensure production requirements are met while also ensuring a safe workplace.
Troubleshoot equipment problems to ensure machine availability, reliability and quality.
Review Metrics daily and participate in Tiered Daily Accountability Meetings.
Recommend measures to improve methods, equipment performance, quality and efficiency.
Confer with other Departments and Production Supervisors, as required, to coordinate activities.
Conduct performance reviews and ensure staff adherence to policies and procedures.
Develop and produce various ad-hoc reports and metrics as requested by management.
Schedule Material Orders (MOs) and assign work.
Ensure production of accurate parts/products as per drawings while maintaining quality.
Order materials as per requirements of MOs, Follow up with purchasing of materials.
Review and schedule incoming orders for processing by priority.
Liaise with engineering regarding design changes, missing drawings and new programs which require adjustment in tools.
Write requisitions for stock material, tooling and equipment.
Recognize tooling requirements that will reduce labour content and/or improve quality.
Set up and maintain tool dispensing and recording procedures.
Source and provide justification to formulate budgets for new equipment, tooling and department layout changes.
Maintenance and repair of production equipment.
Control and maintain low overtime record.
Responsible for department material handling of products.
Responsible for cleanliness and organization of the department.
Support and maintain 5S in all areas.
Monitor the red tag area(s) and disposition material in a timely manner.
Provide monthly safety talks.
Understand the HSE hazards, risks and controls of the operations under their control.
Monitor and coach/teach awareness and compliance to HSE controls.
Integrate HSE programs and performance into continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities.
Actively participate in the HSE behavior programs for the organization.
Respond to problems in the time defined by the Problem Escalation Process.

Requirements and Skills:

Summary:
