Mircom Group of companies is seeking Junior Fire Alarm Technicians for all our branches across Canada who have completed all CFAA courses and have written the CFAA exam. This is an entry-level field role ideal for someone ready to build practical experience in inspection, testing, service, and installation support of fire alarm and life safety systems under supervison.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist senior technicians with inspection, testing, and maintenance of Mircom fire alarm systems.
Support troubleshooting of system faults (devices, panels, NAC circuits, signaling issues, etc.).
Perform basic device verification (smoke/heat detectors, pull stations, horns/strobes, relays, modules).
Help complete service reports, inspection forms, and deficiency documentation.
Maintain tools, test equipment, and inventory of common parts.
Communicate professionally with customers, site contacts, and team members.
Follow company safety procedures and site-specific requirements at all times.
Support installation activities as needed (device replacements, labeling, minor wiring tasks, cleanup).
Requirements and Skills:
All CFAA courses completed
CFAA exam written (proof required; certification status to be confirmed when available).
Ability to read basic drawings, device lists, and service documentation.
Comfortable using hand tools and test equipment; willingness to learn panel programming basics.
Ability to work at heights (ladders/lifts) and lift up to 50 lbs.
Strong attention to detail and professionalism on customer sites.
0–2 years related experience (fire alarm, electrical, low voltage, security, or building systems).
Electrical/ELT program, apprenticeship exposure, or related technical diploma.
Knowledge of common manufacturers (e.g., Mircom, Edwards/EST, Simplex, Notifier, Siemens).
Safety tickets (e.g., WHMIS, Working at Heights, Confined Space, First Aid).
Valid driver’s license.

Summary:
Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate will be responsible for the storage, movement, receiving, preserving and staging of materials, while providing the highest quality of service to all customers. The Warehouse Associate will also be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of physical security in the warehouse, reporting of all security-related issues to management and any other warehouse functions that may be assigned. This is a full time permanent role based out of our Vaughan, ON facility.
Responsibilities:
Print/Read picking slips from the system.
Follow procedures on RF picking slips or verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
Pick, prepare and move customer orders and related material to checking stage for shipping process.
Use an RF scanner to perform a cycle count daily and report any discrepancies to the Supervisor.
Package shipments securely on pallets, label and provide transportation documents, load trucks.
Receive and store all finished goods from final assembly or delivery carriers in a timely manner using the RF scanner system.
Ensure the accuracy of shipments; confirm the quantity and part number(s) are accurate.
Sort out material by POs and process QC orders.
Receive materials in the system and stamp paperwork with date and signature.
Assist Supervisor with highlighting, collecting, and filing paperwork.
Operate warehouse mobile equipment including forklifts.
Sort pallets and perform inventory checks.
Perform safety checks and preventive maintenance; update logs when machinery is used.
Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times while adhering to all health and safety policies/procedures.
Ensure work is performed in compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and compliance procedures.
Perform any other related duties as required by the Supervisor.
Requirements and Skills:
Completion of a High School Diploma or Vocational Equivalent.
Three years’ of experience as a warehouse associate is an asset.
Forklift Safety Training Certificate required.
Comfortable working in a computer based work environment including Microsoft Office.
Ability to lift up to 75Ibs frequently.
Work requires walking, sitting, standing, bending/crouching, reaching, climbing ladders.
Able to be detail oriented following precise instructions when processing orders.
Knowledgeable of all shipping/receiving procedures applicable in Canada, USA and Internationally.
Experience using RF scanners preferred.
Must be able to read, understand and follow instructions/picking slips.
Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written English) skills.

Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing department within an ISO 9001–certified environment. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and take ownership of developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing and assembly methods within a Lean Manufacturing environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

Summary:
We are searching for an experienced training and development coordinator that will provide administrative and coordination support to the Training Department, with additional support to Sales and Service teams for insurance and compliance documentation. The incumbant will oversee end-to-end training administration for internal and external customers, including recommending appropriate training options, processing registrations, maintaining training records and online platforms, issuing certificates, and responding to inquiries. Responsibilities:

Track all course enrolment requests while answering any questions from customers (Ie: training course content, registration policy, billing).
Create and maintain training course registration pages on Mircom corporate website.

Provide Mircom Vendors with supplementary documents including: Form 1000, W-9 forms, WHMIS/Working at Heights/Health & Safety training certificates.
Maintain and update corporate compliance requests on websites including: Complyworks, ContractorCheck and Avetta.
Requirements and Skills:
Diploma/degree in Business/Office Administration, HR/Training, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Summary:

Summary:

Design and improve manufacturing layouts to enhance throughput, quality, and efficiency.
Conduct process capability studies and implement improvements to achieve production targets.
Create Capital projects to drive productivity and safety through automation.
SMT Process Engineering:
Optimize SMT processes including solder paste printing, pick-and-place efficiency, reflow soldering, AOI, SPI, and inspection processes.
Troubleshoot SMT line issues and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Support machine programming, line balancing, and cycle time improvements.
Work closely with equipment vendors and maintenance teams to ensure optimal machine performance.
Quality & Continuous Improvement:
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies.
Support PFMEA development, control plans, and process validation activities.
Analyze yield, defect trends, and production data to identify opportunities for improvement.
Evaluation & First Article Approval for changes to manufacturing site, process changes or improvements, supplier or material changes, or design changes.
Implement error-proofing (poka-yoke) and process controls to reduce defects.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Product Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure manufacturability of new designs (DFM/DFT).
Support production teams in resolving technical issues on the manufacturing floor.
Participate in audits, process reviews, and operational improvement initiatives.
Provide technical guidance and training to operators and technicians.
Documentation & Compliance:
Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process maps, and standard operating procedures.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to PCB manufacturing.
Support internal and external audits such as ISO, FM, and UL, as required.
ECO technical review, approval, assessment and execution through change management.
Requirements and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
5–10 years of experience in hands on PCB manufacturing, with strong expertise in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) environments.
Hands-on experience with SMT equipment such as pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, AOI, and SPI systems.
Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) in electronics manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of PCB assembly processes and electronics manufacturing.
Experience with DFM, DFT, and process validation.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, routings, and manufacturing data analysis.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, Gerber files, and BOMs.
Fluent in both English and French (spoken and written).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in high-mix, medium-to-high volume PCB manufacturing environments.
Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).
Experience with automated manufacturing.
Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721, etc.).
