Summary:
The successful candidate will oversee Mircom’s field services operations for the Calgary location. The Service Lead will organize and manage all service activities and oversee the performance of the Calgary field service team to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct responsibility over service technicians and administration staff

Responsible for acquiring knowledge in new and existing Mircom products

Ensure technicians are equipped with the proper equipment needed to complete all jobs
Control inventory in department stock along with truck stock
Ensure technicians receive proper Health and Safety training along with product technical training.
Work with the Regional Service Manager on fleet control and services
Review all reports sent in by technicians and ensure they are accurate before issuing to the customers.
May occasionally be required to perform technician duties

Requirements and Skills:
5+ years of experience in the Fire Alarm industry.
3+ years of manager/supervisor experience in the Fire Alarm industry
Must have Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) Certification or comparable qualification.
Electronics diploma or equivalent from an accredited college/university or documented and demonstrated trade qualification
Competency in Microsoft Office specifically Word and Excel would be an asset
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer/technician requirements
Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly.
Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driver's abstract

Summary:

Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on printed circuit boards or chassis panel
Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points, using soldering, welding, marettes, or related bonding procedures and equipment
Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets
Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, locks, screws, wires and switches, to assemblies
Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as conformal coating, silk screening, masking, cutting traces, labeling assemblies
Tends machines that press, shape, or engrave component parts
Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics
Performs on-line go-not-go testing and inspection, using magnifying devices and Automatic Optical Inspection(AOI), measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment, to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards
May perform assembly, soldering or inspections under microscope or other magnifying device
Keep immediate work area in clean and orderly condition
Advise Supervisor or Lead Hand of any abnormal conditions
Offer suggestions for continual improvement
Requirements and Skills
Completion of a High School Diploma or Vocational Equivalent
Minimum 2 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment is preferred
Knowledge of electronic components and assembly of systems is an asset
Must be able to read, understand and follow instructions/drawing.
Electronic devices assemblers that solder might require accreditation or certification
Familiar with ISO and IPC standards an asset
Ability to work cohesively with employees and managers as part of a team
Good interpersonal and communication (verbal & written English) skills

Key Responsibilities:
Engineering & Product Management Administration
Lead the production of quarterly and monthly KPI and Project reports using Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint & reports provided by various Team Leads.
Dynamics AX: Perform system inquiries, data mining, product set ups and troubleshooting
MS SharePoint: Site Administration, set up of workflows, task lists, libraries, and permissions

Key Responsibilities:

Reports Coordinator

Summary:
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Reports Coordinator will review all documents submitted by field service technicians and ensure consistency and accuracy of reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Format reports per specific formatting requirements
Track and follow up on customer inquiries
Add suggested corrections and/or questions related to report contents
Submit reviewed and/or revised reports to the Service Manager for approval, clarification and/or further edits
Provide exemplary and timely support to internal and external stakeholders primarily via phone and email
Communicate with field staff if there are any inconsistencies and/or omissions within reports that require clarification or correction
Escalate concerns as appropriate to Service Manager
Assist with process and quality improvements
Perform cross-functional duties, as assigned
Provide input on process improvements to leadership
Submit final report to the appropriate internal and external stakeholders

Requirements and Skills:
2-3 years of related experience in the fire alarm or life safety industry
Excellent computer skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook is required
Excellent organization and coordination skills required to ensure timeliness, comprehensiveness and accuracy of report content
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Bilingual in English and French is required
Experience reviewing and editing CAN-ULCS537 and CAN-ULCS536 reports preferred
Experience reviewing and editing NFPA reports preferred

Summary:
Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Attendant will be responsible for the storage, movement, receiving, preserving and staging of materials, while providing the highest quality of service to all customers. The Warehouse Attendant will also be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of physical security in the warehouse, reporting of all security-related issues to management and any other warehouse functions that may be assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
Print/Read picking slips from the system.
Follow procedures on RF picking slips or verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
Pick, prepare and move customer orders and related material to checking stage for shipping process
Use an RF scanner to perform a cycle count daily and report any discrepancies to the Supervisor.
Package shipments securely on pallets, label and provide transportation documents, load trucks.
Receive and store all finished goods from final assembly or delivery carriers in a timely manner using the RF scanner system
Ensure the accuracy of shipments; confirm the quantity and part number(s) are accurate.
Sort out material by POs and process QC orders
Receive materials in the system and stamp paperwork with date and signature.
Assist Supervisor with highlighting, collecting, and filing paperwork
Operate warehouse mobile equipment including forklifts
Sort pallets and perform inventory checks
Perform safety checks and preventive maintenance; update logs when machinery is used
Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times while adhering to all health and safety policies/procedures
Perform any other related duties as required by the Supervisor
Requirements and Skills:
Completion of a High School Diploma or Vocational Equivalent
Forklift Safety Training Certificate required
Comfortable working in a computer based work environment including Microsoft Office
Ability to lift up to 75Ibs frequently
Work requires walking, sitting, standing, bending/crouching, reaching, climbing ladders
Able to be detail oriented following precise instructions when processing orders
