Summary:
Mircom is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Service Coordinator with proven experience in handling all service and construction related activities. The Service Coordinator will report to the Service Manager and work closely with the service and sales team. With that, from time to time, they will assist with warehouse duties as needed. This role is based out of our Edmonton Branch.
Key Responsibilities:
Create purchase orders for various Service department requirements (i.e., vendors, subcontractors, equipment, tech requirements).
Create service call work orders and schedule technicians.
Manage reception duties such as greeting visitors, handling incoming phone calls, office administration support and other time sensitive requests.
Manage inventory and coordination of parts equipment and tooling for upcoming PMA and Construction projects.
Preform parts transfers from various warehouse locations.
Monitor vender assets.
Monitor tech assets and distribution.
Monitor consumable stock levels, and place restock orders as necessary.
Create work orders for vendor service.
Assist with reviewing documents for billing issues, hours, variances etc.
Create and review open work orders for resolving back logged issues-PMA and Construction.
Review documentation for work order variances in invoicing.
Review documentation for PO variances in invoicing.
Aid with inquiries from AR, AP, clients, sales.
Document job folder and filing to virtual shared drives.
Aid with credit request from Service and Construction.
Inventory all tech assets and maintain equipment calibration schedules.
Assist with warehouse duties/tasks as needed.
Requirements and Skills:
Minimum 3+ years’ office administration experience
Experience in the industry would be considered an asset
Post-secondary education (technical diploma or degree)
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, etc.)

Summary:

Summary:
As the Warehouse Supervisor you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the receiving, handling, storing and packing activities within the warehouse; ensuring quality standards are met. Further, the candidate will ensure all orders are pulled, packed and shipped accurately. Data entry-receive, track and allocate material into inventory or other warehouse locations
Inspect inbound shipments for damage and/or missing material
Pick, pack, label and verify material for outbound shipments
Answer phone calls, emails and respond in timely manner in regard to shipments, carrier pricing, transfers and sales team
Use online portals for data entry/courier shipping labels/Bill of Ladings (Ups-worldship, Fedex, other LTL carriers.)
Sort incoming RMA’s and work with RMA dept to create invoices/send to Head Office
Communicate discrepancies to appropriate locations, departments
Ensure work environment is clean, empty trash cans, replace trash liner, sweep work areas, and bathrooms, refill soap, paper towels in restrooms
Assist with receiving, packaging and shipping

Oversee time keeping of employees
Report any Health & Safety issues
Operate power-jack/pallet jack/scale/dock plate used in daily movement of stock
Requirements & Skills:
Completion of secondary high school diploma or equivalent.

Summary:

Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing fire alarm installation and panel projects in commercial, educational, healthcare and industrial facilities, positively representing the company in all client and architect/engineer interactions. The Project Manager will oversee and communicate project progression from inception to completion including design, permits, material delivery, labour schedules and field installation.
This position will play a critical role in overseeing the successful completion of projects and managing all elements of a project including: scope, budget schedule, finance, risk, quality and resources while maintaining the required level of quality for all assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive the overall schedule for the end to end product development to validation and certifications from cross functional teams: Hardware, Firmware and Software Engineering, Mechanical and Industrial Design, Validation, Quality Assurance and UL/FM Certifications.

Bi Lingual Service Billing Administrator

Summary:
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Fluent Bilingual English/French Service Billing Administrator with proven experience in handling all billing related activities. The Service Billing Administrator will report to the Billing Manager and work closely with the sales team. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate accurate billing through Progress Billings or as per contract agreements, while ensuring all service revenue and cost activities are accounted for a timely manner. The candidate will be working from our Head Office in Vaughan.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure timely invoicing including maintenance of documentation supporting invoices
Document job folder-OneDrive
Processing credit card payments upon request
Resolve issues arising from actions or events involving administrative functions
Produce various reports and metrics as requested by management
Review purchase orders (vendors) for service department requirements
Assist with reviewing documents for billing issues, hours, variances etc.
Review open work orders weekly for resolving back logged issues
Review documentation for work order variances in invoicing
Review documentation for PO variances in invoicing.
Aid with inquiries from AR, AP, clients, sales
Assist with credit requests
Update Billing Manager regarding any inconsistencies or challenges
Other duties incidental to those described herein
Requirements & Skills:
Minimum 1-3 years office administration experience
Experience in the industry would be considered an asset
Post-secondary education (technical diploma or degree)
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office - Excel, Pivot table, Word, etc.)
Strong customer service skills
Proficiency in French and English is required
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to deal with confidential information with high degree of professionalism

Summary:

The QA Test Engineer will direct and oversee the testing and evaluation of hardware and software for the company’s real-time, embedded, communications and life-safety systems. Key Responsibilities:
Work with the product design team to document and implement requirements
Develop and maintain test plans for standard products developed by the company's Engineering Department.
Develop and maintain testing methodologies and practices which will enable the effective, efficient evaluation of new and updated hardware and software designs.
Test and evaluate hardware and software for new and upgraded products and systems as a part of the Engineering Department's testing and quality assurance process.
Prepare test reports on assigned projects, and work with Department designers to help resolve technical issues uncovered as a result of testing.
Act as the Department authority on code requirements and test methods related to ULC and UL listed products.
Provide guidance and support to ensure that the Engineering Lab has the tools, equipment, and materials it needs to support ongoing and developing testing requirements.
Establish and support the high technical standards which are expected of the industry leader.
Lead in the identification, definition, and implementation of new processes, policies, practices, standards, and tools to enhance the Engineering Department’s effectiveness, capabilities, and capacities.
Report any deficiencies in systems, facilities, machinery, equipment and/or tools immediately to Senior Management.
Record and/or report product damage/nonconformities to Senior Management as required.
Comply with Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
Participate and contribute to effective production efficiency.
Requirements and Skills:
Good working knowledge of current testing methodologies and practices in a modern manufacturing / lab environment.
Several years experience in hardware and software testing, utilizing a wide variety of current technology and test equipment in a real-time, process control environment.
Excellent knowledge of the various codes and standards that govern the fire alarm industry.
Good working knowledge of safety procedures and precautions related to working with electrical equipment.
Excellent written and spoken English, ability to create clear, precise, and comprehensive test reports.
The Test Engineer must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, and yet be able to function well in a team environment. The incumbent is expected to demonstrate skills in helping to define product requirements and identify and eliminate technical challenges or problems that might interfere with the successful approval (listing), launch, and utilization of the company's products and systems.
The successful applicant will have degree in electrical engineering plus several years experience in a system test or verification role.

Summary:
We are hiring a detail-oriented Estimator to join our growing team. Your role will involve reviewing engineering specifications and mechanical drawings to estimate the cost of completing a BAS installation or retrofit. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our sales process by providing accurate cost estimates for various projects. The Estimator will work closely with the operation manager and sales team and site walk through to ensure that all estimates are accurate and competitive. The Mircom BAS operation group is an energy-focused Build Automation System (BAS) provider based in the city of Vaughan, Ontario. We specialize in the design, implementation and service of Schneider Electric Eco-Struxure BAS systems & Mircom OpenBAS with Niagara Jace BAS systems. From new installations, retrofits and preventive maintenance, Mircom BAS Group is a full-service BAS provider for our customers across the GTA and Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and summarize engineering specifications and drawings for the sales team
Prepare detailed cost estimates for BAS projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Identify potential issues with mechanical drawings & engineering scope and propose amendments
Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather relevant data for accurate estimating.
Identify site constraints that may have impact on the cost of implementation

Requirements and Skills:
