Mircom Group of companies is seeking Junior Fire Alarm Technicians for all our branches across Canada who have completed all CFAA courses and have written the CFAA exam. This is an entry-level field role ideal for someone ready to build practical experience in inspection, testing, service, and installation support of fire alarm and life safety systems under supervison.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist senior technicians with inspection, testing, and maintenance of Mircom fire alarm systems.
Support troubleshooting of system faults (devices, panels, NAC circuits, signaling issues, etc.).
Perform basic device verification (smoke/heat detectors, pull stations, horns/strobes, relays, modules).
Help complete service reports, inspection forms, and deficiency documentation.
Maintain tools, test equipment, and inventory of common parts.
Communicate professionally with customers, site contacts, and team members.
Follow company safety procedures and site-specific requirements at all times.
Support installation activities as needed (device replacements, labeling, minor wiring tasks, cleanup).
Requirements and Skills:
All CFAA courses completed
CFAA exam written (proof required; certification status to be confirmed when available).
Ability to read basic drawings, device lists, and service documentation.
Comfortable using hand tools and test equipment; willingness to learn panel programming basics.
Ability to work at heights (ladders/lifts) and lift up to 50 lbs.
Strong attention to detail and professionalism on customer sites.
0–2 years related experience (fire alarm, electrical, low voltage, security, or building systems).
Electrical/ELT program, apprenticeship exposure, or related technical diploma.
Knowledge of common manufacturers (e.g., Mircom, Edwards/EST, Simplex, Notifier, Siemens).
Safety tickets (e.g., WHMIS, Working at Heights, Confined Space, First Aid).
Valid driver’s license.

Summary:
Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate will be responsible for the storage, movement, receiving, preserving and staging of materials, while providing the highest quality of service to all customers. The Warehouse Associate will also be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of physical security in the warehouse, reporting of all security-related issues to management and any other warehouse functions that may be assigned. This is a full time permanent role based out of our Vaughan, ON facility.
Responsibilities:
Print/Read picking slips from the system.
Follow procedures on RF picking slips or verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
Pick, prepare and move customer orders and related material to checking stage for shipping process.
Use an RF scanner to perform a cycle count daily and report any discrepancies to the Supervisor.
Package shipments securely on pallets, label and provide transportation documents, load trucks.
Receive and store all finished goods from final assembly or delivery carriers in a timely manner using the RF scanner system.
Ensure the accuracy of shipments; confirm the quantity and part number(s) are accurate.
Sort out material by POs and process QC orders.
Receive materials in the system and stamp paperwork with date and signature.
Assist Supervisor with highlighting, collecting, and filing paperwork.
Operate warehouse mobile equipment including forklifts.
Sort pallets and perform inventory checks.
Perform safety checks and preventive maintenance; update logs when machinery is used.
Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times while adhering to all health and safety policies/procedures.
Ensure work is performed in compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and compliance procedures.
Perform any other related duties as required by the Supervisor.
Requirements and Skills:
Completion of a High School Diploma or Vocational Equivalent.
Three years’ of experience as a warehouse associate is an asset.
Forklift Safety Training Certificate required.
Comfortable working in a computer based work environment including Microsoft Office.
Ability to lift up to 75Ibs frequently.
Work requires walking, sitting, standing, bending/crouching, reaching, climbing ladders.
Able to be detail oriented following precise instructions when processing orders.
Knowledgeable of all shipping/receiving procedures applicable in Canada, USA and Internationally.
Experience using RF scanners preferred.
Must be able to read, understand and follow instructions/picking slips.
Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written English) skills.
Familiar with touch screen data entering and scanning.

Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing department within an ISO 9001–certified environment. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and take ownership of developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing and assembly methods within a Lean Manufacturing environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

Strong knowledge and application of Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, JIT).

Summary:
We are searching for an experienced training and development coordinator that will provide administrative and coordination support to the Training Department, with additional support to Sales and Service teams for insurance and compliance documentation. Responsibilities:

Maintain and update corporate compliance requests on websites including: Complyworks, ContractorCheck and Avetta.
Requirements and Skills:
Diploma/degree in Business/Office Administration, HR/Training, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Summary:
The Fire Alarm Systems Estimator will be responsible for estimating Fire Alarm System material and labour for projects which the Project Management Office (PMO) manage, regionally and/or nationally within Canada; this includes reviewing Consulting Engineers design drawings, Material take-off (either manually and/or using Procore), Bill of Material (BOM) creation, Labour (hours/cost) estimations for system Test and Inspection and Verification, Quote creation in AX. The Estimator will be required to review plans and confer with Sales Managers and Project Managers, if required, to provide a BOM and Quote for a complete and functional Fire Alarm system which meets the project specifications. This is a full-time role based from our facility in Calgary, AB
Responsibilities:
Follow through with Fire Alarm estimating process to develop competitive bids.
Review and understand Fire Alarm project specifications and drawings.
Produce material and labour take-offs through drawings to develop accurate quotations.
Occasional site/tender walk-throughs to cross refence drawings to avoid site interferences and identify proactive solutions.
Communicate with clients to gather information, clarify specifications, wording, etc.
Coordinate with sub-contractors and suppliers to obtain pricing to include within the final quotation provided to the client.

Requirements and Skills:

Demonstrated experience reading fire alarm drawings/specifications and producing take-offs, quotes, and bid packages.

Summary:
Under the supervision of the Manager, this position is responsible for the safe, accurate assembly, insertion of electronic components and other related assembly in a timely fashion, with the help of complex machinery. Summary:
The Inventory Analyst plays a critical role within this organizaton. Responsibilities:
Monitor inventory levels for raw materials, sub-assemblies, and finished goods to support production planning and procurement planning.
Analyze material consumption trends and forecast requirements to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Track slow‑moving, obsolete, and excess inventory; recommend actions to reduce excess inventory and obsolete inventory.
Perform root‑cause analysis of inventory variances and implement corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy.
Generate and maintain dashboards and reports using Excel and Power BI.
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory data and documentation.
Improve inventory processes through data‑driven insights and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.
Maintain accurate inventory records in MS Dynamics 365, including item master data, BOM updates, and transaction accuracy.
Requirements and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Accounting or related field.
1–3 years of experience in inventory control/analysis or materials/production planning support in a manufacturing environment.
2–3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for inventory transactions and master data (item master/BOM) maintenance is essential.
Experience with cycle counts/physical inventory and supporting internal/external audits (documentation and reconciliations).
Ability to monitor and control inventory (raw materials, sub-assemblies, finished goods) and forecast requirements to prevent stockouts/overstocking.

Summary:

Résumé:
L'ingénieur de fabrication bilingue est chargé de développer, d'optimiser et de maintenir les processus de fabrication des assemblages de circuits imprimés (PCB), en mettant l'accent sur la technologie de montage en surface (SMT). Ce poste garantit une production de haute qualité, efficace et évolutive, tout en soutenant l'introduction de nouveaux produits (NPI), les initiatives d'amélioration continue et l'excellence opérationnelle dans l'environnement de fabrication des PCB. Le candidat retenu apportera une expérience pratique des processus, des équipements et des normes de qualité SMT, et collaborera de manière transversale avec les équipes d'ingénierie, de qualité, de chaîne d'approvisionnement et de production. Il s'agit d'un poste permanent à temps plein basé dans nos installations de Pointe-Claire, au Québec.
Principales responsabilités:
Développement des processus de fabrication:
Développer, mettre en œuvre et optimiser les processus de fabrication d'assemblages de circuits imprimés, en mettant l'accent sur les lignes de production SMT et l'assemblage final des produits de sécurité.
Soutenir l'introduction de nouveaux produits (NPI) en définissant les flux de processus, les instructions de travail et les besoins en outillage.
Concevoir et améliorer les plans d'implantation de la production afin d'améliorer le rendement, la qualité et l'efficacité.
Réaliser des études de capacité des processus et mettre en œuvre des améliorations afin d'atteindre les objectifs de production.
Créer des projets d'investissement pour stimuler la productivité et la sécurité grâce à l'automatisation.
Ingénierie des processus SMT:
Optimiser les processus SMT, notamment l'impression de pâte à souder, l'efficacité du placement, le soudage par refusion, l'AOI, le SPI et les processus d'inspection.
Dépanner les problèmes liés à la ligne SMT et mener des analyses des causes profondes et des actions correctives.
Soutenir la programmation des machines, l'équilibrage des lignes et l'amélioration des temps de cycle.
Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les fournisseurs d'équipements et les équipes de maintenance afin de garantir des performances optimales des machines.
Qualité et amélioration continue:
Diriger les initiatives d'amélioration continue à l'aide des méthodes Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma et d'autres méthodologies d'excellence opérationnelle.
Soutenir le développement du PFMEA, les plans de contrôle et les activités de validation des processus.
Analyser le rendement, les tendances en matière de défauts et les données de production afin d'identifier les possibilités d'amélioration.
Évaluation et approbation du premier article pour les changements apportés au site de fabrication, les changements ou améliorations de processus, les changements de fournisseurs ou de matériaux, ou les changements de conception.
Mettre en œuvre des contrôles anti-erreurs (poka-yoke) et des contrôles de processus afin de réduire les défauts.
Collaboration interfonctionnelle:
Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les équipes d'ingénierie produit, de qualité et de chaîne d'approvisionnement afin de garantir la fabricabilité des nouvelles conceptions (DFM/DFT).
Aider les équipes de production à résoudre les problèmes techniques sur le site de fabrication.
Participer aux audits, aux revues de processus et aux initiatives d'amélioration opérationnelle.
Fournir des conseils techniques et des formations aux opérateurs et aux techniciens.
Documentation et conformité:
Élaborer et tenir à jour la documentation relative à la fabrication, notamment les instructions de travail, les schémas de processus et les procédures opérationnelles standard.
Veiller au respect des normes industrielles et des exigences réglementaires relatives à la fabrication de circuits imprimés.
Apporter son soutien aux audits internes et externes tels que ISO, FM et UL, selon les besoins.
Révision technique, approbation, évaluation et exécution des ECO (Engineering Change Order) par le biais de la gestion des changements.
Exigenceéts et Compences:
Licence en génie électrique ou mécanique, en génie de fabrication ou dans un domaine connexe.
5 à 10 ans d'expérience pratique dans la fabrication de circuits imprimés, avec une solide expertise dans les environnements de technologie de montage en surface (SMT).
Expérience pratique des équipements SMT tels que les machines de placement, les fours de refusion, les systèmes AOI et SPI.
Expérience dans le soutien à l'introduction de nouveaux produits (NPI) dans la fabrication électronique.
Solides connaissances des processus d'assemblage de circuits imprimés et de la fabrication électronique.
Expérience en matière de DFM, DFT et validation des processus.
Connaissance des outils de fabrication allégée, Six Sigma et d'amélioration continue.
Connaissance des systèmes ERP/MRP, des routages et de l'analyse des données de fabrication.
Capacité à interpréter des dessins techniques, des fichiers Gerber et des nomenclatures.
Maîtrise de l'anglais et du français (à l'oral et à l'écrit).
Solides compétences en matière de résolution de problèmes et d'analyse.
Excellentes capacités de communication et de collaboration.
Capacité à travailler dans un environnement de fabrication au rythme soutenu.
Solides compétences en organisation et en gestion de projet.
Qualifications souhaitées :
Expérience dans des environnements de fabrication de circuits imprimés à forte mixité et à volume moyen à élevé.
Certification Lean Six Sigma (ceinture verte ou supérieure).
Expérience de la fabrication automatisée.
