Summary:
We are searching for a talented test engineer who will define test requirements and methodologies for PCBs and electronics in life safety products by developing detailed test plans, protocols, and procedures to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards like UL. The successful candidate will collaborate with product designers and manufacturing engineers to optimize test processes, analyze test data for improvements, maintain test equipment, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while training teams on test systems and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Define test requirements and methodologies for PCBs and electronics equipment used in life safety products.
Develop detailed test plans, protocols, and procedures to ensure product quality and compliance with UL and other industry requirements.
Design and develop test fixtures and equipment for efficient production and validation testing.
Write and maintain test software using appropriate programming languages and tools.
Ownership and accountability for quality and reliability of the test process.
Work closely with product designers to understand product specifications and ensure testability.
Conduct Measurement System Analysis using 6σ methodology to assess stability, bias, repeatability, and reproducibility of the test environment.
Partner with manufacturing engineers to develop and optimize test processes for safety, quality, and delivery, and cost.
Provide input during new product design reviews to influence product design for testability and manufacturability.
Analyze test data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and recommend process improvements.
Optimize test procedures to reduce cycle time, improve yield, and enhance overall test efficiency.
Maintain and update test equipment and processes to align with technological advancements and best practices.
Performs risk assessments to identify and mitigate weakness in the testing process.
Functional understanding of automation tools and AI to problem solve for labor inefficiencies.
Define clear goals for all aspects of a product test and develop steps for their proper execution
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for test fixtures, equipment, and procedures.
Ensure all test processes comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Train production and engineering teams on the proper use of test equipment and systems, including troubleshooting and resolving test related issues during the new product introduction phase.
Requirements and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field; advanced training in test software platforms preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on test engineering experience within an electronics manufacturing company.
Proven experience in developing and implementing test systems and processes that conform to UL and CSA requirements, and other Canadian safety standards.
Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance methodologies.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to train and guide test technicians and collaborate effectively across various departments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Project development with solid understanding of protocols, standards, and product specifications to plan and execute test development activities.
Advanced understanding and experience with software engineering, customer experience and product design architecture.
Extensive knowledge and experience working with various operating systems and backend programming.
Professional work experience in analyzing and testing computer hardware and software, with strong technical skills in network protocols and test methodologies.

Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to lead and support a small Pick & Pack team, ensuring all orders are accurately pulled, packed, and shipped while maintaining high quality standards. This role involves managing inventory accuracy, overseeing cycle counts, coordinating shipments, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. Key Responsibilites:
Data entry-receive, track and allocate material into inventory or other warehouse locations
Inspect inbound shipments for damage and/or missing material

The QA Test Engineer will direct and oversee the testing and evaluation of hardware and software for the company’s real-time, embedded, communications and life-safety systems. The position presently reports to the Engineering Manager, but works closely with all members of the Engineering department, and with staff in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Tech Support, Product Management, etc. This role is located at our Pointe Claire, Quebec office.

Key Responsibilities:
Work with the product design team to document and implement requirements
Develop and maintain test plans for standard products developed by the company's Engineering Department.
Develop and maintain testing methodologies and practices which will enable the effective, efficient evaluation of new and updated hardware and software designs.
Test and evaluate hardware and software for new and upgraded products and systems as a part of the Engineering Department's testing and quality assurance process.
Prepare test reports on assigned projects, and work with Department designers to help resolve technical issues uncovered as a result of testing.
Act as the Department authority on code requirements and test methods related to ULC and UL listed products.
Provide guidance and support to ensure that the Engineering Lab has the tools, equipment, and materials it needs to support ongoing and developing testing requirements.
Establish and support the high technical standards which are expected of the industry leader.
Lead in the identification, definition, and implementation of new processes, policies, practices, standards, and tools to enhance the Engineering Department’s effectiveness, capabilities, and capacities.
Report any deficiencies in systems, facilities, machinery, equipment and/or tools immediately to Senior Management.
Record and/or report product damage/nonconformities to Senior Management as required.
Comply with Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
Participate and contribute to effective production efficiency.
Requirements and Skills:
Good working knowledge of current testing methodologies and practices in a modern manufacturing / lab environment.
Several years experience in hardware and software testing, utilizing a wide variety of current technology and test equipment in a real-time, process control environment.
Excellent knowledge of the various codes and standards that govern the fire alarm industry.
Good working knowledge of safety procedures and precautions related to working with electrical equipment.
Excellent written and spoken English, ability to create clear, precise, and comprehensive test reports.
The Test Engineer must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, and yet be able to function well in a team environment. The incumbent is expected to demonstrate skills in helping to define product requirements and identify and eliminate technical challenges or problems that might interfere with the successful approval (listing), launch, and utilization of the company's products and systems.
The successful applicant will have degree in electrical engineering plus several years experience in a system test or verification role.

The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing and assembly processes within the facility. Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & ownership role to develop, implement and improve manufacturing assembly methods within a Lean manufacturing environment.

Summary:
